hi, kinda new to intel overclocking here. been with amd since 2006 till few weeks ago till i get myself a 3570k. i got a question,is 1.27v for 3570k@4.4ghz abit high?
*
I would say yes. I can get 4.6GHz with HT on with my 3770k at that voltage, even lower. But YMMV though...

Are you using auto voltage? Try finding the lowest voltage 1st. If that is the lowest voltage you achieve @ those speed then its normal. Every chip act differently even if its the same proc & batch. My 4.4 needing at least 1.26v to stable @ 4.4Ghz.

no, im using manual when trying to find sweet spot for 4.4ghz. 4.4ghz @ 1.24v gave me bsod and after increasing it slowly i found 1.27v the best i can manage @4.4ghz. now i switch over to offset +0.005 with LLC@medium. After few hours of running aida64 and playing bf3 no crash so far.

Then you're good to go. Try running LinX/Prime95/IBT for stress test to confirm your stability. How much the temperature you have during gaming (bf3)?

so far during hot day it doesnt exceed 60c yet on bf3. hovering around 55-60c on all cores.

What board are u using? if Asus u may try with high LLC as well, but that voltage is quite high anyway for 4.4ghz. How's ur temp on Linx?

i think playing games like bf3 at 60c should be normal right? I manage to get 4.7 @ 1.26v and the max temp for core if running bf3 would be 65c.
It is okay sifu?

Balik Penang roger aku weh. Tlg aku delid cpu aku nih. Hahaha...aku dh x tahan dgn temp dia. Skali hampot btoi
Previously run my ex hyperX 1600 @ 2000 with CL10. Cant go any higher sweat.gif very limit oc for my hyper rams chip.
Wanna try pair with my Sammy Green with same timing C10 @ 2000 tonite
Run speed 1866 with timing 10-10-10-24 @ 1.5v (tightest timing and speed that make its stable) but cant boot up at 2000 speed and beyond even loosen a bit its timing. Might be not compatible voltage as Sammy run only used as low as 1.55v at 2200 but HyperX 1600 run at 1.65v. Set 1.65v also cant boot my system.

Any news when ur 'green' chip will be arrived bro?

Edited - If bought ASRock Z77 Extreme3 from Newegg, will get RipjawX 1600 CL9 2x4GB for free brows.gif
