QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Apr 19 2012, 05:30 PM) yeah man, XM2 is a totally different range with PS3 but PS3 not cheap.. around 450 a piece rite? in comparison hankook v12 is abt 300+ a piece...If you're used to cornering with the PS3, you're gonna curse like hell when you're on the XM2 lol. its just not factory spec. simple as that. some workshop won't want to mess with factory specs, but if you ask me, the diff between profile 55 and 60 is minimal, even negligible. no comments on the bridgestone or pirelli, but the S-drive have pretty crappy wet grip |

guys i have different opinion for PS3, currently using it on my hyundai accent 195/55/15, change it from Good Year GSD3 eagle f1. But once compare in wet wat i feel is gsd3 would be much more better than ps3.
Before change it to ps3 a lot of ppl recommend this saying that its much more better than my gsd3. In dry condition i got no problem with it but wet i doubt it. Any comment. |

Any comment. which they took several tyres and compare. in terms of wet & overall GY F1Ass2 > PS3 F1A2 is above GSD5 ( no more GSD3, but ppl claimed GSD3 is better than GSD5). F1A2 and PS3 very very emphasis on wet, which is very important in malaysia. Dry grip is nothing unless u go sepang. rainy day we see malaysian accident very frequent. but look at the groove on GSD5, i would say wet performance is not as good as PS3. simple, look at ps3 and F1A2, the straight groove is big....GSD5 is V thread for dry grip |

using 225/45/18 on camry 2.0G..... using 3rd set now for ps3... in my opinion is noisy... but is because i'm now 225 with 18 inch... good grip but 60 series tyres are more on comfort oriented instead of performance... actually the highest range of all are the pilot super sports for michelin.. but those are only for performace car... coz smallest size are 18 inch...
btw... noise is very subjective where the car NVH alone are the key player... |

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Apr 20 2012, 10:53 AM) depends on the sizei'm on 195/55/15 so PS3 is RM288 for me while V12 is RM205 lol. Thats why they say the V12 is value for money king. QUOTE(skyline34 @ Apr 20 2012, 11:14 AM) guys i have different opinion for PS3, currently using it on my hyundai accent 195/55/15, change it from Good Year GSD3 eagle f1. But once compare in wet wat i feel is gsd3 would be much more better than ps3. never tried the GSD3 so no comment but i tried the Goodyear F1 D5 and the PS3 trumps it in every way. Just my honest review Before change it to ps3 a lot of ppl recommend this saying that its much more better than my gsd3. In dry condition i got no problem with it but wet i doubt it. Any comment. IMO the Goodyear F1 D5 is very very similar to the V12 in terms of grip in dry and wet. Only thing noticeable is the harder sidewalls compared to the V12, other than that pretty much the same. |

performance totally not... michelin XM2 is intended for long lasting.fuel saving..fuel saving tires has less grip...so means not for performance that u can get from performance tires... google la...u'll find ur answer... right now i'm driving on XM2...this tire only for silent, decent dry n wet grip...decent..very decent...comfort tire..what do u expect it for? see here.. XM2 PS3 see the big differences?if still think XM2 is on PS3 level, then u really need to learn more... This post has been edited by dinwaja: Apr 20 2012, 07:45 PM |

Yeah the Goodyear F1 Directional 5 costs RM265 a piece but then IMO the performance is more or less the same with a Hankook Ventus V12 which costs RM205 a piece. The PS3 is on a totally different level though so to me the RM288 price is justified

my PS3 after almost 50k is quite noisy. in terms of dry and wet grip is absolute top notch though. but PS3 is considered as high performance tire.
Primacy LC is very quiet but grip and stability less since it's a comfort tire CSC5 don't have 16" sizes. high performance tire Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 2; performance tire, i heard it's pretty quiet too. This post has been edited by phas3r: Apr 20 2012, 08:12 PM |
