i think different model suits with diff car model,
but most of my friends using cc6 or uc6.
some said uc6 better becoz gd in wet road braking.

These are all individual perception! Some like it and some don't! Some say good and some say not so good ! biggrin.gif I wonder if those ppl ever used before most of the branded tyres. Lol!

no i don't agree wic you
as i know eco tyre ahve cheaper price but how it can compared with premiun brand of tyres such as cc6
there is more different on performance of driving between this two type of tyres
*
CC6 is from a premium brand (Continental) BUT it's their lowest, lousiest, shittiest level! In terms of durability maybe fine but in terms of performance it's not good at all. So if you compare CC6 with other lower end brand of the same low level type model then yes the CC6 might be better but if you compare the CC6 vs lower brands but of the higher level models for example Hankook V12 Evo2 then the V12 Evo2 will destroy the CC6! So when comparing tires, you need to compare them at the same type/model level too, not just the brands.

looks like many ppl recommed tis cc6,
but i heard some comments said cc6 is only mid range tyres.
*
CC6 is not even mid-range, it is the lowest level econo range tire from Continental! One that lasts very long yet has shitty grip performance. laugh.gif For Continental, the mid range tires are the MC and CPC series.

Michelin pilot sport series would provide good wet performance but come with a steeper pricing

Hi folks. Planning to purchase new sets of 245/40/18. What brands should I consider? Looking for a brand that is good for both wet and dry, less noise and kind to the wallet. Thank you in advance.

if ps4 is kind to your wallet go for it.
otherwise there are alternative like advan v701 and v12evo or maxxis ipro which is good enough for wet and dry grip.

If you want the true best and has the budget for it, then get Michelin PS4, price should be above rm700/pc.
If you want the best value for money right now, then go for Hankook V12 Evo 2, price only around rm450/pc but performance is like 95% of PS4. Anything cheaper than this one is not so good anymore.
Note that there's actually another new tire that should beat the V12E2 and also give excellent value for money, the Falken FK510, so you might want to ask around for this one if already available for your size.

Seems like there's physical availability of the fk510, it is being promoted at their road show in setapak central kl. Although a little faint, but some photos of the road show in their facebook can see the fk510.
