1. Preferred Brand : Actually any brand will do, AS LONG IT'S NOT ACER...
2. Budget : say 2.8-3.3K
3. Usage : multi-purpose, GAMING...really gaming..
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : 14"~16"

Personal remark : changing my ASUS F8VR Of 4 years...i don't mind waiting another few more months if a better model is coming out
: Most important thing is the laptop can last 4-5 years like this baby..

I guess u meant HD7690M. hmm.gif
HD7690M is on par with crippled GT555M in Y570 which has been rebadged to GT640M LE.

Yeah, you're right sweat.gif
But I thought the AMD HD7690M is on par with the M14x's GT555m and might even perform better than it? Confusing.... rclxub.gif

both red and green camp don't make it easy for us consumer this year. tongue.gif

HD7690M = HD6750M - Core: 600mhz
HD7690M XT = HD6770M - Core: 725mhz

Now is kind of like the "transaction" period for technology laugh.gif
You might want to come back in a couple of weeks time, the new Asus N series would probably be here by then~

Ivy Bridge processors doesn't bring about very significant performance boost, especially for those looking for gaming laptops..
However its a different story if one is looking for a normal subnotebook or ultrabook without a dedicated GPU nod.gif

o.O, but me seldom play those game like crysis, COD, bla bla bla only @@
normally just surf internet, play fb game and online game, lol

Juz help one of my fren get asus n55sl from devour, now i need opinion on another notebook other than asus n55sl.

Budget : <RM3k
usage : Office & Gaming (dota 2, cod mw 2/3, crysis and other)
Preference/ Notebook in mind : GE620DX Full HD 1920x1080 (other except Acer & Asus n55sl)

i found in GS that the GE620DX offer full hd and non full hd (1600x900 perhaps) with different price of RM3k and Rm3.4k respectively (not sure the seller got update anot).

and from Hikari, it state full hd @ Rm3099 with 640gb instead of 750gb.

Please advice.

Apparently GE620DX got two version, one with 640gb non full hd @ 1366x768 and 750gb with full hd.

You're right, there are 2 variants of the MSI GE620DX nod.gif
GE620DX, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT555M (2GB)@RM3099, 8GB, 640GB, 2 years warranty
GE620DX-675, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT635M + (1920x1080)@RM3599, 8GB, 750GB, 2 years warranty

The FullHD one is more worth it imho~

Nope, its not worth it (especially if you're using it for gaming)...
The GT555m is crippled and not very good...

If you're planning on using it for multimedia, you'll be better off with these instead brows.gif
Asus N55Sf-S2356v [black], i5-2450M + Nvidia GT555m (2GB) + 1600x900@RM2799[Bang & Olufsen]; 750GB, USB3.0, Sonic Master subwoofer
Toshiba Qosmio F750-1008X, i5-2430QM + Nvidia GT540M (2GB)@RM2699[2.9kg][harman/kardon], 640GB (7200rpm), color: glossy red
