i7 processors can go up to 100C when gaming brows.gif
Dota2's requirements are not fixed yet right? Do correct me if I'm wrong hmm.gif
But it seems that Dota2 doesn't require a lot of GPU power to play, the GT635m in the Asus N45 would be more than enough
*

If you max up graphic details in Dota 2, i believe even GT555M/HD6770M/GT635M/HD7690M XT/GT640M have problem keeping a steady 60fps. tongue.gif

1. Preferred Brand : Asus
2. Budget : RM2k
3. Usage : Presentations(currently for a foundation student) , Movies and Musics , Surfing , Gaming ( Dota , Dota2 and etc)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : below 15inch

I'm comparing Asus VX6S and Asus K43..

Any precious guides please ?  smile.gif
*
I say K43 is a better machine but not as stylish as VX6. You probably won't enjoy Dota 2 much with VX6S.

Ahh.. i only remember K43TA. doh.gif doh.gif
If its the one with Brazos APU then VX6S is much better system.

with A43SM-VX102V you probably can play Dota 2 at max but without ingame AA and AO turn on to get steady 60fps. hmm.gif

Much much better machine to play game compare to K43 and VX6S imo.

How's your search? biggrin.gif

Finalizing now, guess got not much choice ady.

Q1. Which one better ar?
- Asus N55SL-S2065V @Rm3550, 4GB Ram, 2GB GT 635, BluRay
- HP Pavilion dv6-6c19TX @Rm3050, 4GB Ram, 1GB ATI 7690 GPU

Q2. The GPU 1GB and 2GB differs a lot, i mean gaming wise?

Q3. i7 soon to have this ivy bridge also?
*
Q1. Gaming performance, HP is better. N55SL have better screen, screen resolution and speakers.

Q2. GPU Vram capacity doesn't affect gaming performance.. at least not for notebook GPU.

Q3. There will be HP DV6-7xxx series and Asus N56 that come with Ivy Bridge i7. You just need to wait a month or 2.

QUOTE(kevin94 @ Apr 18 2012, 12:13 PM)
Do you mean more higher the resolution more higher the fps ? sorry i'm new with all this  icon_question.gif

So you recommending K43 can solve all my studying and gaming problems ?
*
Nono.. i meant with A43SM you can play Dota 2 with most of the eye candy turn on except for Anti-aliasing and Ambient Occlusion.

Sorry K43 was not meant for heavy gaming, I was referring to K43TA(Europe model) which was dubbed as A43TA here in Malaysia.

3. browsing, day to day office duties, business presentation, data/calculation intensive software (data simulation ie. engineering calculation, financial service, non graphical, media intensive)
4. 14 inch,

Do you need quad cores CPU? coz i don't think there is any 14" quaddie at that price point other than AMD APU which have pretty weak processing power. hmm.gif

Your best bet is
Y470, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT550M (2GB)@RM2799[JBL], W7HP, 4GB, 750GB (5400rpm), Lenovo P350 headset OR 2 years warranty
It is an old model so maybe u can bargain the price much lower. ph34r.gif

500G + 500G means got 2 hard disc ?
how many ram memory ? is it 8G?

Added on April 18, 2012, 6:58 pm
These 2 also ASUS ? are there good ? thanks
*
Yup, 2xHDD. You can do Raid-0 to double the performance (also double the failure rate sad.gif)

I think 8GB of ram with max capacity of 16GB (4 ram slots).

GE620DX is MSI's laptop. Yes it is good.

can upgrade resolution? coz i heard the current resolution sucks for gaming.
*
i don't see the reason why the resolution suck for gaming. it suck for those who love to put 2 words document side by side.

you can upgrade to fhd yourself but it will void the warranty.

hp pavillion
dv6-6b14tx vs dv4-3002tx

mostly used for autocad application, video n gaming la..

Between those 2, that DV4 is better for gaming and DV6 for CAD application. It's worth to wait for it, maybe in a month or 2.

The issue caused by using TIM instead of fluxless solder for the integrated heat spreader? Nope, wouldn't be a problem for mobile IB since mobile CPU don't have need for an integrated heat spreader. And besides, the heat issue only appears if it's overclocked.

i see, i can suggest IB laptops to my friends then. thumbup.gif

I'm sure there will be no problem to stuff GT650M in because it got great cooling system. thumbup.gif
