Assuming you're considering in between these two:
Asus N55SF-SX331v, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT555M + 1600x900 + Bluray@RM3599[Bang & Olufsen]; USB3.0, Sonic Master subwoofer, 2 years international warranty

MSI GE620DX-675, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT635M + (1920x1080)@RM3599, 8GB, 750GB, 2 years warranty

I'm not sure whether the SX331v really comes with 1600x900 (as stated in the brochure or not), you should check, if it comes with 1920x1080, then both laptops are equally good nod.gif
Otherwise, the MSI is better
*
for n55 is the model using i5 version, which it spec is i5-2450m + nvidia gt 635 + 1600*900, not i7 version
for ge620dx, using i7-2670QM + gt 555m + 1366*768

overall is msi better right ? but it resolution lose already
but msi laptop is it popular in Malaysia ? because can't see any1 using it

For work and multimedia, the Asus would be a better choice. Larger screen resolution is a joy to view and has pretty great sound system.

The MSI is a good choice if you don't mind gaming in HD resolution.

MSI isn't as popular. Only recently have they started to promote aggressively.

+1 to AlexLai sifu notworthy.gif

@XeactorZ, do look out for this model 1st:
Asus N55Sf-S1515v [black], i5-2450M + Nvidia GT555m (2GB) + 1920x1080@2899[Bang & Olufsen]; 750GB (7200rpm), USB3.0, Sonic Master subwoofer *EOL-ed

its way more worth it even though its slightly older... performance-wise, both are basically the same in terms of GPU (GT635M = GT555m rebadged), but the S1515v has a faster HDD as well as FullHD screen
*
thanks you 3 for the reply
for gaming, my friend just want smooth can already
for full HD resolution, no idea

@PF T.J.
but you said EOL = end of life already, still can find in lowyat ?
and got so cheap ? full HD resolution @@
because my friend budget around RM 3k only
which both of them cost RM 2899 (RM2.9k)
or still got other laptop recommend ??
*must 15.6 inch, 14inch too small already

my budget around RM2.5k
if that laptop worth to buy, then I sure will increase my budget

QUOTE(syabilng @ Apr 17 2012, 10:33 PM)
I think the only difference between those 2 is a slight different in graphics and huge difference in audio. The MSI has 7.1 ready audio hardware. Make your pick. smile.gif
*
wah 7.1 ???

Ivy Bridge processors doesn't bring about very significant performance boost, especially for those looking for gaming laptops..
However its a different story if one is looking for a normal subnotebook or ultrabook without a dedicated GPU nod.gif
*
o.O, but me seldom play those game like crysis, COD, bla bla bla only @@
normally just surf internet, play fb game and online game, lol
