I remember when I drove my cousin's Mini Cooper last month, the pedal was less responsive too. About 1 second delay, which I hate BADLY!
*
well I test drove a Polo GTI with 180bhp on a 1.4 turbocharged + supercharged engine and the lag is about the same. can't really expect old school car's response from drive by wire tech + turbo. So is the Polo GTI crappy now? hmm.gif

this if anybody raped the dashboard on any car also confirm it will break
*
I already explain, in reality it will happen. U can go rape whatever car u like. Since it happens, it shows something to potential buyers. U can go destroy dashboard of other makes and show it to everyone here if u wish to.

U can say, it's not button, u should not touch it. Well, give u another example that will happen. U send your car for car wash, bangla gives your interior a wipe. He accidentally press on that panel for support which wiping your dashboard...POP...there it goes...What u want to do? Bangla will use double tape to stick it back for u..LOL

You can try the IAFM+ MT variant if you are inclined to smile.gif

Btw, Proton just can't catch a break. No one wants to cut them some slack, perhaps rightfully. It is not a bad car by any stretch of imagination, in fact it represents a pretty huge leap for Proton. It's just rough around the corners and Proton being Proton, there are always tonnes of room for improvement, which is a pity.

But remember, it is still a pretty cheap car for it's specs.

ya, they did improve a lot, for a quality that we waited too long.

let me check any other cars having the same welding technique as Preve. maybe there are many ways to construct a door, i just identified 2 only, how about the japs, they using the same technique?

i sent the image i took using iphone the spoil buttons at the dashboard a few pages ago to the sale agent. sales agent says today lots of people molest the car. from knocking hard to slamming door. from get into the boot and sleep and slot in some paper in the key slot hole. some bring kids as well pull the seats pull the plastic press here press there even it is not button also pressed. cannot say anything cause customer want to try the durability of this product. never got see customer at toyota or honda or mazda or nissan or bmw or audi do like that also. maybe because of previous proton quality makes everyone want to check how good the quality and how it can withstand knocks. i think cause got the reinforce body steel. people curious people will do like that la. and the car battery because of keep on trying the push start keep on the radio and gps trying this and that the car no time to rest too. the test drive car from morning till afternoon 2 oclock when i test drive also never got chance to rest maybe is too new alot of people curious.

Drive-by-wire throttle response typically lags compared to cable throttles.

Nope. This is much reliable. Direct water cooled turbo. Ball bearing and best of all, there's a boost controller to limit the boost. Thus not killing your engine even if you raep it hard.

instead of a cable that connects the pedal directly to the butterfly valve in the throttle body, the pedal is connected to a sensor to detect the throttle input and opens and closes the butterfly valve using a servo motor. That my friend, is drive by wire.

Would an IAFM+ MT with BOT (camproturbo.com) work well?

And.. anyone tried iPhone/iPod connectivity?

today test drive the sale agent at the sri petaling says the audio is from bosch...is it correct or she dunno she just simply say?

I have a old daihatsu charade car very bad audio for this i feel very good audio got bass somemore.

Bad is the dashboard plastic seems a bit too plasticky. the rest of the things is ok. speed is good cfe variant the sound also very minimal inside the cabin.

cornering at 100 or 110 feel so solid and sharp. i just compare with my old car daihatsu charade aura. using that car corner at 80kph already not confident.
first time i use the paddle shifter feels so good. and the push start buttons. i dunno how to test the abs and the traction control. just try suspension gone through bumps at around 20 or 30 kph without slowdown can feel the spring just nice.
behind seat three adults is good legroom. i am 170cm tall so still got lots of headroom.

another bad things is 0 to 5 kph is feel very slow maybe very heavy
Booked a silver cfe variant preve. Can't wait for the new car.

I see. The Preve lag isn't because of this right? It's because of the engine/CVT?
