2.46% is from which bank?
*
I think they all gave Based on Affin Bank.
But according to the SA other banker like PB maybe can get lower. Loan amount around 75K and above the rate is around there. Unless u r going for longer repayment like 9 years. Might get even lower.

No body kit available for the time being. Asked already. Maybe on the FL later. Saw some online really nice.

Bout the warranty I got diff story.
HQ told me both engine n gear box got 5 yrs unlimited warranty whereas the rest is 5 yrs or 300,000km whichever comes earlier. But the other SA told me everything is 5yrs n 300,000Km. Which is which?! Guy?!

Can anyone enlighten me whether the green Eco light of Elantra in Malaysia
1) just to show whether we drive fuel efficient or not
OR
2) control the engine throttle to make it more fuel efficient

As I understood from this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1T98fI3nUZE

a) the Ecomode which control engine throttle should be green Eco light come with Eco button (2012 model).
b) the Ecomode with only green Eco light only show our driving behaviour (2011 model), which seems like the case with the 1st batch Elantra in Malaysia.

My SA only told me the Eco light automatically goes OFF when we sped and ON when we slow down. For me it seems like only showing driving behavior, and not doing engine throttle control for fuel saving.

The first one is called Active Eco System which is only available in Korea and US. The rest of the world is getting the eco driving gauge.

wao, still got many ppl willing to buy elantra. but at least u guys no need to wait long. congrate to those can get car end of this month.

Is it a good choice to get elantra or forte which is value for money. At least Elantra hv better fuel. is it the fc so diff from Forte? How much can save in 500km?
*
The FC should be very similar. With Dual CVVT maybe it can save you a mere RM20 in 500km. So FC shouldn't be something to bother you if you are considering between Forte and Elantra. Value for money definitely Forte also. biggrin.gif

Yes agreed. People jumping on Elantra are mainly those willing to spend on the design and new gen platform. For those who are cost and offerings bias normally will turn to Forte......

Yesterday i went to test drive. They only have 1.6HS and 1.8 in the showroom. I choose the 1.6HS for test drive , like most of the forumer said, the pickup is not in the expectation. I can feel the car is "heavy", like not enough power to push the car. Easier to say, it is sluggish sad.gif I wish to give up Elantra but i can't forget the sporty and sexy look, tooo temptation cry.gif still finding some other reason to convince me to pay 97k for this car for the worth tongue.gif Haiz... conclusion is the price is really suck, 11k different with Forte 1.6 or top up 1k to get Forte 2.0, hard to make decision. For me, the right price for 1.6HS should be 92-93k, so i am going to wait and see the 1.6STD or find another SA can give me discount up to 3-4k, although i know it is impossible laugh.gif The SA offer me only the tint, petrol and also the Hyundai emblem.

i went to puchong hyundai for test drive yesterday but only got 1.6hs, 9th april only got 1.8 premium. they dont allow for testing but when i say 'i come only after i called, you guys say say got car to test drive, only i come over'. only then they allow me to test drive. i was served by a malay SA. The SA know nothing shit about the car. only keep on pushing me to place booking.

About the driving, i would say i had a smooth drive, power is not like 'VROOMM' type but really sufficient enough for city use. I'm driving Nissan Latio Sport 1.6 and Honda City for quite sometime, so when i compare Elantra 1.6 to these 2 cars, I would say, I got no new 'kick' feeling while driving on it. I got this 'kick' feeling one my first time driving both new Nissan Latio and Honda City. I found out the side mirror and rear mirror got so many blind spots while driving since no retractable mirror on side mirror.

Sound prove is good as i cant hardly hear the tyre sound and outside noise, but when pressing on the engine, engine sound is quite noisy to me.

I had a decent drive distance from puchong, going into kesas heading towards bukit jalil, u-turn before the tol then back.

I still havent test drive on the 1.8 premium. for those who really interested to buy, i personally think that the 1.8cc is better.

Just my own opinion.

This function normally found in continental cars one. You just tap the indicator stalk once (don't need to engage it) and the signal will blink three times. biggrin.gif
