I don't even know what's the point of placing the RM500 booking fees the last couple months. If say someone (no booking or whatsoever), went on Saturday, test drive, and placed order. And me, who placed RM500 booking few months back went the following week for test drive and placed order. Who will get the car first?

just went to test drive.. special arrangement...
drove both 1.6 and 1.8. not sure why people here says 1.6 is underpowered. it feels very much like a..... 1.6 car. and in fact better than waja or persona. it still gives me a slight push back when I floored it. Imo its more than enough for everyday drive. much better than my 1.5 wira and accent. 1.8... can feel better torque. handling and nvt same. better leather..nice motorized seat. I confirmed my booking 2 months back. for 1.6 HS. Hyper silver as 1st option. Sleek silver as 2nd. no idea on delivery date. just got to wait patiently lo. add: there are myself and 2 other people in the car during test drive. 1.6 is ok. for those in doubt let me repeat. 1.6 is ok.... QUOTE(stevenycs @ Apr 6 2012, 06:21 PM) FYI, now SD only supplying 1.6HS and if u confirm by this weekend you can get some freebies like tinting and emblem with number plate. Confirm can get car end of the month. But 1.6STD can only get the car as soon as 1-2mths time. No showroom has this model yet anyway. SD just gave directive to promote 1.6HS for now next batch only 1.6STD. I confirmed my 1.6HS booking last Wednesday, how come my SA never tell me things like this. Nor any freebies...... PS: so those who paid or waited since last year and those who just booked today can get at the same time |

QUOTE(caddilac @ Apr 7 2012, 08:19 AM) The first one is called Active Eco System which is only available in Korea and US. The rest of the world is getting the eco driving gauge. Yes agreed. People jumping on Elantra are mainly those willing to spend on the design and new gen platform. For those who are cost and offerings bias normally will turn to Forte......Added on April 7, 2012, 8:22 am The FC should be very similar. With Dual CVVT maybe it can save you a mere RM20 in 500km. So FC shouldn't be something to bother you if you are considering between Forte and Elantra. Value for money definitely Forte also. |

QUOTE(kevin23 @ Apr 7 2012, 02:18 PM) Finally managed to test drive the car in glenmarie today. Tested the 1.6 n 1.8 version. I can't agree on the part that the interior loses out to altis. i have been in an altis where the squarish hard plastic panel has flashes left over from the moulding process. and I thought this kind of issue only happens to perodua. To be honest, i was hoping for alot especially with all the hype this car has gotten. I got in the 1.6 version first. Interior qquality was ok. But i cant understand why the doors were still using hard plastic at this level. Steering felt light at high speeds.not good at all. Power at lowrpm was ok, but the moment u floor the pedal, rpm goes up to 6k but hardly any power felt. Verdict: very underpower Then it was the 1.8 version. Got in, nice touchscreen greeted me b Although a bit laggy. Was expecting more power. But unfortunately power was more or less the same as 1.6 version. Hardly any power at high rpms.noisy engine . Verdict: underpowered and overpriced. No doubt the designof exterior n interior is good. But the materials they use are of cheap quality . Cheapo leather seats. Rear seats super cramp as car has very low roofline. Overall verdict: i cant understand who will buy this car . Its a good try by hyundai but doesnt even come close to toyota altis in terms of refinement. Even my previous honda city 1.5 had more power. btw I'm already getting this car. not expecting u to understand though. |

QUOTE(stevenycs @ Apr 9 2012, 12:47 PM) Cause dealers has incentive when they hit certain volume but branch don't have this. so what are the benefits of getting the car from branches?or so i was told by one of the SA from HQ. that is why they can't follow dealer's given freebies like tinting and discount. |

WTH, so frustrated! Ask him to list me everyhtng, and how much is the "Cheap" he refer. Replied. Duno.
