have fun waiting, SD pulling another 'Elantra' on us. went to showroom today and asked about veloster and guess what, estimated launch August and price around 130k. owh yeah. from q1 to q3. SD should be called Slow Darby.

anyway, gf's bro confirmed everything and finally when we asked if delivery's possible and the faggot said, actually you need to wait for 2nd batch, first batch are for those who have 'booked' way before. we expected that though. dint had a chance to test drive but i did 'molest' the car and built quality aint that bad, even compared to the civic but somehow, lost the oomph that i had for the car. now the interior looks, plain.

Now August pulak???
Last I asked was June (yes, it's a delay from initial announced Q1.

Seems that HSDM credibility has indeed down the drain.

Initially was hopeful for Veloster. But looking at all the negative review on the 1.6 Elantra power department, kinda worries me.

Maybe I should drop the plan for trying to act young and go for a proper D segment... K5? sad.gif

There are points for everyone to appreciate about the Elantra.

objectively, it did bring up the plus point for Elantra. (price aside of course, and also the inokom badge)

for Hyundai Korea, it is indeed a good job. Hyundai Malaysia did screwed it up nonetheless.

Still got one function I like in Elantra which was not found on Forte. Elantra got one touch triple blink indicator rclxms.gif

Also known as 'lane change assist' on VW?

just now go test drive elantra 1.8 near autocity branch. First impression is kind of underpower for low rpm. After 4000 rpmfeel the force kick in but is nothing to shout of. For initial pick up, when flooring the petal, the engine noise and the acceleration does not seems to be in proportion. Lol... Playing with petal swift, the gear changing smoothness and response is marginally acceptable. Nappa leather looks classy with dash board design. Missing auto lock after car start up is puzzling. Might pose a treat to honda civic, but still lose to forte for dollar and sens wise.

I don't think it comes with "paddle shift".
Gear shifting only at gear console right?
