Anyone faced this problem before?

My Astro (normal not byond) set top box is located close together with the unifi equipment, and two channels (CNN and another one which I can't recall now) are having "corrupted image" problems (basically unwatchable). All other Astro channels worked fine.

After a bit of consideration I decided to just test it by switching off the DECT (Motorola) phone power, and suddenly those "corrupted" channels started working 100% again.

I had exactly the same problem with my golf and supersport channel. It's affected by the cordless phone signal or something. When I bring the base of the Dect far away from the Astro decoder, the picture became clear again. rclxub.gif

Hi All,

I heard previously about paying direct debit via credit card and there will be some rebate. Is it still on as I could not find it at unifi website?

Thanks

Does unifi provide us a way to check our download usage (download only). I don't like using bandwidth monitor software because it always add up with the data I transfer from my NAS.

They haven't implement. Guess they will do this when they implement quota. Erm... You can try use ddwrt firmware. But need some setup there to get unifi working... But it does show you your statistics on WAN usage which I believe doesn't count LAN usage.

That's exactly what I need. Something to record my WAN usage, excluding the LAN one. But I don't dare to mess with my router yet since I only just installed Unifi..

Ya, the downside of this is you have to have wires connection to that particular repeater. But from that repeater onwards, you'll have a whole new range of wifi zone. I have LAN ports pre-installed during renovation of my house, so it's not much of a problem for me as I can just connect the wifi repeater to these LAN ports which is connected with the Unifi router.

I think the Chip mag May issue has a very good guide on this topic along with a very easy to understand diagram.

I don't have his mag sweat.gif So, usually how far can unifi cover if without repeater?

hey guys i got a question regarding using DIR-615 as bridge. i've tried the steps given in the unifi handbook website but still unable to connect. i tried using the method 2 as my firmware are still 7.05b. the problem is after all the manual setting then i wire the LAN port accordingly then i tried to log in to my own router configuration page but unable to go in, so i guess the setting did not work out. any idea how to fix it? and also the Vlan Priority shud be kept at 1 for WAN connection 1 and 0 for WAN connection 3 or it doesnt matter?

nobody can help me with this?

its a collection account.
tm will check it at certain time only

not sure about tm but like maxis i can call them. give them the ref id etc on the atm printout. they will see it at their collection account and they ok it. so u might want to check on that. but on another note before for my wife apartment, did a payment for phonebill from citibank acct to tm collection account.. money found only after 2 months.

hence after a few debacle with citibank/standard chartered.. its always safer with cash via atm machine or cheque by post for me. old ways so far always work.

all collection account is done manually afaik.

forget about systems etc. system is a human dude punching in to tag the payment made to their own acct system to say u paid.

skyline, try this:-

1. Under wireless setting of 841ND, downgrade setting from 11BGN to EITHER 11G OR 11N only (depends on your mobile devices capability)

2. Downgrade WPA2-PSK to WPA-PSK & play around either AES or TKIP encryption

BTW, I have 1 problem regarding 841ND,

From the statistic, it's shown quite questionable LAN IP address.

I had already set DHCP for certain range, but why there are another IP out of range displayed.

MAC also all zeros (check screenshot as below)

I only got one mac address 0 0 0 0 0. After I checked, the pc is connected to DIR-615 which is connected after TP-Link 841ND. You got similar setup? Means WAN->841ND->DIR615. My dir615 is not hosting dhcp server. IP address all assigned by 841nd. Other comp shows mac correctly.

hmm just asking has anybody in their torrenting manage to get their upload as high as download..

i suspect the uploads are inconsistent.
any suggestion on doing a large file transfer to maximize the uploading rate.

tested youtube was at only 1.3mbps up with down at 2.3mbps
looking for a way to max out both.

need this cause i want to stress test a friends wifi router he bought.
he wants to media stream with it at 1080p also.

would appreciate if somebody can pm me a torrent file that can fit this requirement.

Anyone here facing higher latency to abroad recently?

My VOIP server for phone calls is in the UK, normally works fine - but last 10 days or so the calls are choppy, very frustrating sad.gif

Have had it before when the international link had problems - but I can still max out my line for downloading from Europe / US servers !
