QUOTE(skyliner66 @ Jun 14 2012, 12:11 AM) but proviously using the DIR615 i din set any google DNS but working fine, but once change to TP Link the problem exists...btw, may i know how u manage to use 2 router at the same time? Added on June 13, 2012, 11:13 pmi do test several channel from 5 to 11...all cant work...i even set the auto channel, but same result...really dunno wht to do... try to turn off QSS. Upgrade tp-link firmware to the latest one on their website and disable all advance security and set wifi on wep. Try your luck but that's what i do.TP-Link sometimes drop packet severely. But if u flash it with ddrt or openwrt it work just fine.I also dunno why, it lacks that security segments plus all the ARP attack from china lol

Hi, would like to ask alll sifus here. How is the coverage for unifi within a single storey of 40x70ft(got wall in between)? Do I need any gadget to power the transmission? Since I've never use wifi before, I don't know if the signal is weak or strong. Please advise.

I'm using my old router as switch/wifi repeater by disabling it's DHCP function.

QUOTE(Femi @ Jun 14 2012, 06:09 PM) What will happen if diabled the DHCP function? DO NOT DISABLE YOUR UNIFI ROUTER DHCP. I'm talking about if you have an extra or old router that you are not using and turn it into a wifi repeater. Here's a good guide: http://www.ehow.com/how_2308651_use-router-as-repeater.htmlThis post has been edited by weichieh007: Jun 14 2012, 06:27 PM

Any Unifi biz user here? Do you experience slow connection to China website? Is it recommended to use Google DNS if we visit China website often?

QUOTE(Femi @ Jun 15 2012, 12:49 AM) Then this is wired? I thought Unifi can use wireless so I can go anywhere with my laptop within 1000 sq ft... Ya, the downside of this is you have to have wires connection to that particular repeater. But from that repeater onwards, you'll have a whole new range of wifi zone. I have LAN ports pre-installed during renovation of my house, so it's not much of a problem for me as I can just connect the wifi repeater to these LAN ports which is connected with the Unifi router. I think the Chip mag May issue has a very good guide on this topic along with a very easy to understand diagram. This post has been edited by weichieh007: Jun 15 2012, 09:30 AM
