nah, not a prob if you hid all the wires under the carpet, noise too little for human to notice if there's a noise at all.. its just when you wanna golek2 on the carpet, then the wire will give you a good amount of pain. lol..

sort the cable from Fiber modem as one bulk, and so on with others, ( router, telephone, Set Top Box..etc ), bundle if any cable that needed to be cross, eg, " your fiber modem on left, and your telephone to the right, ", you'll get the idea..

owh and NEVER FORGET, DON'T mess with the Optical Fiber, hide the optical fiber wire at the back of your cabinet where no people can access,

Optical Fiber wire breaks easily, * if you dont know about it, if you do, proceed *

Crude way to check, look for TM Greyish box at the back of your house, on a telephone line pole. If there is one, your area should be available for UNIFI.. Well, thats what I noticed when they were installing my UNIFI. They pulled fiber line from there.

umm, they pull cable from TM Pole, they drilled my room, and around 1.5m of Fiber Optics, to termination point. Then another Fiber Optics that included in the modem box.. Didn't even go up the ceiling, and the UNIFI supposed to be installed in my living room. Still, they charged full price.

During my time, all the price is fixed, and I cant agree or disagree what price they'll offer. And I'm sure no other contractor I can choose, only what TM sent to me.

I dont really care about my installation, because Fiber modem + router are in my room, air conditioned, + all PCs are in my room. Lol. So, in my case, im good enough with it.

So, need to confirm with others first, because my installation was ages ago.

They bring 10+ people for my job, only 1 is doing the actual job, others just lepak.. Even I knew a little bit more than him. lol.. I installed IPTV by myself, and not working at first, later on called CS, then it works like a charm. Other than that, is fine for me, took them around 30~1hr, most time spend on getting fiber from pole to termination point.

And yeap, latency is most important for me too, 5ms even @ 1.2~mbps @ torrenting. Love fibers..
