Some guy from photo malaysia forum said that in Lowyat plaza selling D800 for RM8800. dunno how true is that. but recently nikonrumors.com reported that some users are complaining of green tint on LCD. that could be the reason for price drop?

Nikon products also have 'easter' egg like iDevices?
either the web designer/ admin do something wrong with the price
or
indeed it is scam...
I called to confirm the price, and they confirmed. However i find their price list quite unreasonable for all other item as well, for eg. D700 selling 9800, higher price than D800E..

Even if 8.8k were true (which I don't think so), do you think it will still be available?
Hmmm, will go back and check. So far, the LCD did not show anything out of the ordinary.

actually the green tint is very subtle, as what other users described. you may want to use your other Nikon camera like D7000 or d90 or d700 etc. to compare. maybe you can try switching on the live view and focus on an object. then let us know your finding again
5DM3 are much better especially in dealing with noise (D800 look terrible even on iso1600), but i'm glad there is terrible moire on the video for D800. . .hahaha because i'm not in video at all. . .terrible moire for video meaning the low pass filter is actually very weak and that translate to better sharpness and resolution for stills!!! Yay! XD
Glad that Nikon didn't sacrificed the stills IQ for video quality. That should be the way to go!! Well done! Haha
