Some guy from photo malaysia forum said that in Lowyat plaza selling D800 for RM8800. dunno how true is that. but recently nikonrumors.com reported that some users are complaining of green tint on LCD. that could be the reason for price drop?

QUOTE(jchue73 @ Mar 28 2012, 07:48 PM) Even if 8.8k were true (which I don't think so), do you think it will still be available? Hmmm, will go back and check. So far, the LCD did not show anything out of the ordinary. actually the green tint is very subtle, as what other users described. you may want to use your other Nikon camera like D7000 or d90 or d700 etc. to compare. maybe you can try switching on the live view and focus on an object. then let us know your finding again

@jchue73
Can you please post up a pic of your D800 rear LCD with other camera like D700, d7000 or D3S? I got my D800 last week, and it was plagued with the green tint on LCD. Now it's back to Nikon service centre. Mine also seem to suffer from bad backfocusing issue too

I'm sure if I pushed the taoke of the shop a little more, he would have let go for RM9350. But since he's such a nice and honest man, I didn't feel like making his life difficult then

QUOTE(PADUK @ Apr 7 2012, 03:18 PM) sendai production line is a bit slower i think compare to thailand one, maybe them QC is different and takes time, but please produce it like canon does I suggest that you hold back for the time being until all the reported issue of D800 is settled. Look at me now, money paid already but my D800 is not with me, instead it's in Nikon service centre. now can only syok sendiri with my D7000 which I should have sold a week ago.

According to Mingthein.com. He said that there are certain batch that is affected by the AF issue (well as far as those that he tested). and 8000xxx to 8001xxx are affected. Mine is also 8000xxx. http://blog.mingthein.com/2012/04/05/and-t...ns-performance/You might wanna read the above mentioned link. Since you have the 24mm 1.4G + D800 combo. worth testing to be sure.
