QUOTE(celciuz @ Apr 4 2012, 11:30 PM) I was told D800 selling for RM9350 in Penang, could be another 'special price' for kawan only I guess. Your pictures and the 35mm looks awesome!! Somehow I feel like getting the 35mm instead of the 24 nowThis post has been edited by Calvin Seak: Apr 5 2012, 12:11 AM |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Apr 3 2012, 02:57 PM) Yeap, I noticed them at the back area... where there was a Super GT car near there... those Thai DK (drift king) cars were placed. But many of them were like bringing the model away and then shooting special shots... Some sort like what I do in Msia at times haha! But overall the girls are very friendly and cooperative (majority) unlike in Msia its minority are friendly... mostly just pose for people they know. Unfortunately, I have to agree with you on that. Despite with the language barrier, they are still very friendly and accomodating...QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Apr 3 2012, 04:22 PM) The pic the other day show up at Nikon RUmour If I'm not wrong, I saw the same guy taking photos in IMPACT ! » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(Everdying @ Apr 3 2012, 05:03 PM) not really, the dome is still throwing some light forward. Agreed. For me, it's just a faint light thrown on the face to get some catch light in the eyes and get rid of some shadows on the face.plus ur only using 35mm, so ur not that far away anyway. if u notice alot of shots, its not just about the exposure, almost all will have some nice catch light in the eye, thats where a flash can come in handy. QUOTE(makaroni @ Apr 3 2012, 07:50 PM) Vivid colour profile is in LR or in camera Vivid? When shooting RAW, LR does not recognise the camera's vivid settings.QUOTE(chongkiatz @ Apr 4 2012, 12:41 PM) Shoot raw to be safe, sometime u got no 2nd or 3rd repeat shoot, if white balance lari then its hard to recover in jpeg, 16gb card can shoot 400-500 raw file, i dun think u will use it all for motorshow only? 400 to 500 sounds more like D800 NEF files. QUOTE(celciuz @ Apr 4 2012, 02:52 PM) Haha, yeap. I am using a D700, no D800 yet I need a new PC. Crawling when trying to open NEF files. QUOTE(salvator @ Apr 4 2012, 02:59 PM) This year even lesser chicks? So you couldn't filled up your both cards? Have you tried shooting 1800 pics before? |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Apr 4 2012, 10:59 PM) if you read the D5100 manual, i'm sure it also states the buffer is only 16 RAW shots. ya is 16 raw, but mine only 10 raw and it started to slowdown, maybe because it is class 6 memory card? and the buffer will start to slow once it reaches anywhere near there. also sports shooters mostly shoot jpg. until the D4 appeared, which lets you shoot 11fps in RAW with no slowdown due to a very big buffer. |

Time for new desktop
Actually anything sandy bridge i5/i7 is powerful enough already. just take 8gb ram because LR/PS eat a lot of page memory. This post has been edited by 168257061: Apr 5 2012, 09:58 AM |

get a lens first
D90 kit lens use on FX how lah ? later wide end you got vignetting, then you only can work on crop mode. use 50 1.8D only ? unless you really knows how to use it. for ex many street photog like to use prime like 24 28 35 50 D90 work pretty well in 24-70 |

QUOTE(leongkokloon @ Apr 5 2012, 01:23 PM) Hi guys, Pleae give more info of your plans and thoughts, your statement is too generalised for good constructive advise from the seniors herei was just wondering to upgrade to FX body or get a nikon 24-70 2.8 Alot of ppl will say go for lens first body later... anyone can tell me why? btw im using Nikon D90 + kit lens + 50mm 1.8D why do you need an FX body? why do you need a 24-70mm? lens first - IMHO it would have been pressumed that you have already mastered the current lenses you have, FX lens are larger, heavier, and very likely have greater resolutions, that will probably enhance any mistakes( is this a correct term to use?) you have on your current body. it will take some tme getting use to the newer lens, and when you are ready for the body upgrade, you will only need to worry about the functions of the newer camera and not the technique part.....i dunno if that makes any sense, any care to explain it in other words? body first - you already have a basic FX lens you plan to use, your future upgrade will be a higher spec lens, and you need time to get used to the camera functions and layout - if you shoot alot of sports n high speed stuff, you will need to know the camera like the back of your palms...... |
