I think it too much coz already start comparing with other makes which i dont really like much. Just saying that iafm+n punch cvt combo in a PROTON is better than cps n mitsu 4at combo in PROTON. Not other makes.

Since when did i say anything about the ratios? i am doubting the powerloss that occurs as the power is trasfered from crank to the wheels, nothing to do with the way it works.

preve's dashboard look boring mainly because current cars has digital aircond lcd panel, just like the one u posted, while preve stuck with the old turning knob like the inspira which make it looks simpler and outdated..and the separated 3 knobs arrangement is really outdated..some cars like korean they design it to be like 2 knobs on top of another which make it a bit better..

if u read carefully, i mentioned it is in punch website BEFORE. its not in the pdf technical data. It on the front page on previous punchpowertrain website with old theme for the website. Already following the website since late 2009 coz i know cvt from punch is one of the options.

Questioning is not taboo, it just i felt that the question raised due to prtn coz i think i rarely@neverheard the same question arised in other makes before, maybe im wrong. Maybe dont read enough in other makes forum.By the way, where do u get the 11.5scnd city century sprint? And where do u get data on 20% on trans lost in at honda? Do u get it from honda?

By the way,its not my thread. Just drop by to share some infos. Just mere visiting. For me, no harm done, u can call me what u want to call, do whatever u want :-), but others, i think a little damage had done.

In reality, pretty hard to gauge any powerloss consistently, so, engineers just do what the best they can do n opt the best that they can opt.

Its funny that renault megane get more nm of torque n same hp during dyno when compare it with power from engine crank which issued by renault themselves. Not even transmission loss, and it has transmission power gain. How could this happened? Renault want to undervalue its engine power in brochure??? Nope, any manufacturer in the world would like to boost the figure in brochures.

The same questions shud ask why hybrid terrain prefer cvt than at and some opt for manual. But why not prius opy for manual if cvt is pretty bad than manual?

The never ending questions will raised also why not others like vw blue motion not opt for cvt, just opt for manual?

But the question wont raise coz its vw n toyota for godsake.

The same as when toyota introduce avanza with less power than previous gen coz meeting euro 4, but diff answer for alza by perodua engineers coz they mentioned the reduce power of alza engine compare to previous avanza is due avanza rear wheel drive, alza front wheel. Avanza need more power to go, alza no need too much.
But in the end, toyota introduce it this year, same engine n same powerloss with alza, but diff reason.

Nobody questioned that before coz its a big T. Not a small p.

Still wondering where u get city century sprint officially from honda stated 11.5 scnd coz its not tally with other country same car, same weight century sprint.

i think it will be launched on may. Najib is busy preparing the next GE. even want to launch on september after GE also i got no problem.

The person who more idiot is the people behind Proton who still think the presence of PM is necessary. I don't feel sorry for them when all the information leaked before the launch date. They have their own self to blame right now.
