Any owners of galaxy W that has HTC one V ? How is it comparable to the Galaxy w?

Last 2 weeks distruption in PJ area due to upgrading works. Already got announcement mah. This week seems all back to normal. I wonder why people here complain so much, it's a planned maintenance/upgrading work just for short period.

Yeap GW is TFT .

I'm pretty sure GW is SLCD, not just TFT. I compared side by side with my friend's HTC Desire S which is said in spec sheet comes with SLCD. Seriously, no difference at all. Possibly the same thing since Samsung is the one making SLCD (joint venture with Sony but I think sony dropped the business). I will not care much about the screen on GW vs One V (SLCD vs SLCD2 hmm...). What I care more is actually the camera, OS, built quality and Beats Audio. One V's camera macam very geng due to HTC new Image Chip... OS, 4.0... Built, Metal unibody... Beats Audio(erm... not much of a fans but should be nice to have)

Complain so much becos we pay for the service and we're getting screwed. Seriously, if I can't make calls and people cannot call me, what good is the service? I will make noise even if they've made announcements.

Yeah, One-V seems to win in all aspect..except lack of front camera (GW got?) and a miserable 1GB user internal storage. GW got more rite? 1.7GB for the user. The problem with HTC phones...damn kedekut with the internal storage. They should dump the stupid beats audio and put more internal storage. Only One-X got a generous internal storage...even previous gen phones like Sensation and XE also miserable 1GB ..unlike SGS2 got 2+11GB for the user.

GW got 1.4GHz instead of 1GHz of One V. Erm... But HTC don't have 3 layer memory like Samsung which makes their life easier to put all the maps/huge game data file in external memory card. Not to say we can't do that in SGW but need some tweaking. Only SYGIC support map on external sd without extra settings. SGW got 1.07GB internal memory to install games/apps and 1.7GB usb storage for game data/user media files but this system is making problem for some games/gps software where they can only detect the USB Storage as External SD card, not the real Ext SD card. This makes 1.7GB very little too...

i got one question to all sifus.. give me one good reason why i should pick this phone over huawei honor.. thx in advance

Warghh having a hard time deciding between Galaxy W and One V now. Somehow from what I can tell, the only "key features" that I like about One V is just the ICS (that one also no big deal) and the metal build. Other than that... Now leaning towards Galaxy W. What you all think? I mean if I were to get One V, it is just pushing my budget by extra 100, worth it? Or should I use the 100 and get a memory card instead?

Because... It's Samsung! If you find the Honor is fine, and positive reviews from users, just get it. If based on on-paper spec, they're pretty close with honor having larger screen and battery and ICS and slimmer. Your choice

Erm... ICS is quite a big deal. One V camera should be a lot faster than Galaxy W. I'm not sure about that. Why don't you try them out, both of them. I think HTC does a better job in their stock rom compared to Samsung. Just my opinion though. They may have overcooked the UI but their UI isn't sluggish. I mean Stock ROM. The built is another aspect. Metal unibody vs plastic. Your choice. Btw, I can't seem to find info on One V screen. I mean the glass on top of it. Not sure whether it's gorilla or dragontrail or whatever. Phone arena says it's not as cold as 'glass' which gave me few question marks in my head. One V is also slimmer. Take that into account too.

Try look at One V design.. the bottom there suddenly curve out... it may looks nice..but think what will happen if you put into your pocket.. and the HTC Sense is eating quite alot of RAM.. a

The curve is no big deal? In fact it should provide a better grip IMO. Sense... Quite a nice UI. not sure about the RAM part for 512MB models since i only played it on 768MB HTC Desire S, no lag at all. SGW still will lag from time to time

haha..depends la..for me i dont really like tat design..

I only don't like the extended part on the bottom. It can shape like that but the softkey should be on the curved part IMO and shorten it a bit.
