Not really. Still can update via kies. But will get unrooted after that. And my supercharger won't work.

Guys i got 1 samsung galaxy W bought last year which have a great battery life, night time when sleep for around 8 hours, the phone idle use around 3~8% battery only.

Recently bought a new Galaxy W(few weeks ago), stock ROM and no software installed yet, its always 16%~20%++ every night idle. Even Factory Data Reset still same.

So same phone same settings (Off Wifi, Off GPS, Off Bluetooth, Off Backgroud Data) already Off everything, Idle 8 hours the new Galaxy W is double battery consumtion of the old one.

Old Galaxy W can play games and listen music a bit, 3 days+ charge once, if totally Idle might be can last 4~5 days? So far I is 3 days charge once with little use.

New Galaxy W, idle no use also need to charge everyday. Anyone facing this issue with recently bought Galaxy W?

Guys,recently my phone falls off into water.I dried everything and it starts/boots up normally.

But one thing,my home button need to press slightly stronger for it to function.Others function properly and fine.
Should i send it to warranty?

First of all, congrats on moving to V5.. I got this phone for my wife when it was V1..

Anyway, I know this is going to be kinda of a lazy man's way of asking because I am too broken hearted to read through... My wife phone got stolen 2months back and we just manage to save up for a new 1. She still wants the galaxy w.. Can anyone be kind enough to point me the link to get a realiable cheap place for this phone again.. saw 1 sme warranty RM899(white).. is this the market rate ?

case is i wanna send my w for warranty and i checked the box i found none except for one piece of paper saying e-warranty that says warranty shuld be done by shop something like dat...

i might have lost the card since my 1 years old son might have played around with the box sometime ago so just wanna confirm how does it look like...

Guys, another question here. What's the different between GSM and WCDMA ? Issit mean 2G and 3G ?
and how to identify whether my SGW is running my internet data ? is there any icon displayed on top ? Cuz im not sign up to any data plan, so i scare it will automatic runs my data.

There's no auto-brightness setting for it. so far i just saw the bar for adjust the brightness.

Follow the first method. Rooting via Recovery method. This is the easiet. Nothing else is easier. Download the file from your phone(make your life easier, no need PC in this case), place it in the root directory. Means in the outside most folder when you open 'My Files'. Then you can follow the guide. It just take you around 2 mins for whole process. Don't even need luck. Won't actually go wrong unless you can't read simple english   

Off topic a lil' bit. Are there others that got problem with digi signal lately? Before this the signal were fine in my office area. No problem inside the building too. But now it's so bad that the signal is totally gone.

Complaint to digi and was told to switch to 2G. WTF! And what I'm suppose to do with dataplan? free meals for digi?

Last 2 weeks distruption in PJ area due to upgrading works. Already got announcement mah. This week seems all back to normal. I wonder why people here complain so much, it's a planned maintenance/upgrading work just for short period.
