Phone price can only go one way....which is DOWN. Don't believe what the sellers tell you. With so many new phones coming every month...better stuff all the time at same price.

QUOTE(ciwek90 @ Apr 10 2012, 03:16 PM) Thanks! But now, i got problem. When i want to move to my new sd card. The phone said memory card is full. Even using apps2sd also cannot. Means at internal sd card (1.7GB) already full. Then how? feels like wasting my money buying 16GB -.-" 1.7GB usable internal memory? Quiet a lot what...this is android legacy problem...no fix. Only new phones with Android 4.0 like HTC One X can have one single partition of memory i think.Btw, is considering between this phone and HTC One X....Galaxy W seems like old liao...HTC One X with ICS only RM900.... |

QUOTE(emkay @ Apr 11 2012, 02:15 PM) Off topic a lil' bit. Are there others that got problem with digi signal lately? Before this the signal were fine in my office area. No problem inside the building too. But now it's so bad that the signal is totally gone. Last 2 weeks distruption in PJ area due to upgrading works. Already got announcement mah. This week seems all back to normal. I wonder why people here complain so much, it's a planned maintenance/upgrading work just for short period.Complaint to digi and was told to switch to 2G. WTF! And what I'm suppose to do with dataplan? free meals for digi? Added on April 11, 2012, 4:18 pm QUOTE(~@Sharks@~ @ Apr 11 2012, 03:52 PM) I want to knowe too....especially the screen quality. QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Apr 11 2012, 04:47 PM) I'm pretty sure GW is SLCD, not just TFT. I compared side by side with my friend's HTC Desire S which is said in spec sheet comes with SLCD. Seriously, no difference at all. Possibly the same thing since Samsung is the one making SLCD (joint venture with Sony but I think sony dropped the business). I will not care much about the screen on GW vs One V (SLCD vs SLCD2 hmm...). What I care more is actually the camera, OS, built quality and Beats Audio. One V's camera macam very geng due to HTC new Image Chip... OS, 4.0... Built, Metal unibody... Beats Audio(erm... not much of a fans but should be nice to have) Yeah, One-V seems to win in all aspect..except lack of front camera (GW got?) and a miserable 1GB user internal storage. GW got more rite? 1.7GB for the user. The problem with HTC phones...damn kedekut with the internal storage. They should dump the stupid beats audio and put more internal storage. Only One-X got a generous internal storage...even previous gen phones like Sensation and XE also miserable 1GB ..unlike SGS2 got 2+11GB for the user. |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Apr 11 2012, 09:11 PM) GW got 1.4GHz instead of 1GHz of One V. Erm... But HTC don't have 3 layer memory like Samsung which makes their life easier to put all the maps/huge game data file in external memory card. Not to say we can't do that in SGW but need some tweaking. Only SYGIC support map on external sd without extra settings. SGW got 1.07GB internal memory to install games/apps and 1.7GB usb storage for game data/user media files but this system is making problem for some games/gps software where they can only detect the USB Storage as External SD card, not the real Ext SD card. This makes 1.7GB very little too... Thanks for the head up, i never realized the apps will have problem detecting the real SD card with the 3 layers archictecture coz using SGS2 now...enuff internal storage. I guess SGW is out of my list.Added on April 12, 2012, 8:53 am QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Apr 11 2012, 10:42 PM) Because... It's Samsung! If you find the Honor is fine, and positive reviews from users, just get it. If based on on-paper spec, they're pretty close with honor having larger screen and battery and ICS and slimmer. Your choice I think read somewhere...no gorilla glass on One-V...that's why not 'COLD' enuff....needs to add ICE CREAM Sandwich on it...haha.Erm... ICS is quite a big deal. One V camera should be a lot faster than Galaxy W. I'm not sure about that. Why don't you try them out, both of them. I think HTC does a better job in their stock rom compared to Samsung. Just my opinion though. They may have overcooked the UI but their UI isn't sluggish. I mean Stock ROM. The built is another aspect. Metal unibody vs plastic. Your choice. Btw, I can't seem to find info on One V screen. I mean the glass on top of it. Not sure whether it's gorilla or dragontrail or whatever. Phone arena says it's not as cold as 'glass' which gave me few question marks in my head. One V is also slimmer. Take that into account too. QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Apr 12 2012, 01:49 PM) Is your firmware newest? Newest should be Android Version: 2.3.6 Build Number: GINGERBREAD.DXLC1. This build has better gaming performance, won't struggle that much compared to previous builds. Check and see whether your phone is up to date. On older 2.3.6 build, even playing where's my water/cut the rope requires me to to clear ram and launch the app directly(open the game, hold home button to get to clear memory option then in my case, even launcher will be killed because I used Supercharger V6 script which changes the behaviour of ram manager of W. And then, hold home button and directly choose the game from previously launched app list.) But now no more such problem when playing simpler game like where's my water and cut the rope. Yesterday I tried Gun Bros still will lag without clearing memory but I rarely play that so I don't care much This phone not for me, for my wife...my 2nd partition in my SGS2 now almost full...11GB...left maybe 1.9GB only...so you think leh....Added on April 12, 2012, 1:53 pm Erm... Actually if you compare to HTC, it's not much of a problem. We still got 1.7gb to spend... Just choose which app you wanna put in internal and which in external wisely. For me, I keep only X5 maps in internal, sygic maps in external and selected game in external. You got s2 you also won't use W to play gameloft games right? Only games from GLU and gameloft actually eat a lot of memory. Sometimes 500~600MB... For the time being, I installed 130++apps, still got plenty space for me to throw more apps into it. Anyway, my wife will probably use less, but i dunno lar...better get more storage, later she complains... haha....buying for wife very difficult task... 1) Buy expensive phone - she ask why you waste so much money. 2) Buy cheaper phone - she ask why you so cheap. 3) Buy not enough specs - endless complains. 4) Buy overspec - i dunno how to use. So hor, this is a tough job!!!!!! |
