Safety first, guys. Remember to attend tool-box meeting every morning! Always read and understand the work and hazard before doing it.

depends on which company you are working for,but generally the pay is higher than other industry.Local oil and gas company(except Petronas) mostly pay peanuts compared to their mnc counterpart.

Hey guys. Lets say I get into shipbuilding industry. Would the shipbuilding experience be helpful if I were to venture into Oil & Gas industry later on?

Coming from Civil Engineering background, I feel a little left out in this thread. No talk about offshore construction, sub-branch of the oil and gas industry?

Any hope of posting offshore construction consultants, fabricators, and contractors?

Consultants:
Ranhill WorleyParsons
Technip
RNZ

Fabricators:
MMHE
Kencana

Contractors:
TL Offshore
J. R. McDermott, Saipem, EMAS, Swiber (Not sure if they do work in Malaysia but can work in Singapore n go offshore beyond Malaysia)

Just a few I have stumbled upon from contacts and own experience, and can remember at the time being.
