i apply for mechanical engineer.i just got a few years experience in small company.
Not multitasking means i cannot grow well / train well in this company?
But i should glad rite if i landed in MNC company compared to small company...

There are plenty jobs for non-technical positions in O&G. Most famous that suits your credentials would be Sales. There are several titles such as Sales & Technical, Sales & Application, Application, Sales & Marketing and etc. Good luck!

we should expect questions like this since it is advisable to "merge" anything related to OnG here. Unless certain amount of experience and knowledge are required in order to comment in this thread. I've personally PM some of the otai regarding OnG issue to avoid bashing. It's not a healthy approach since this is an open platform for discussion and inquiries but i've got good feedback. Whoever started the "bashing" approach should ignore anything he/she assumes irrelevent.

hi! i went there last Sat. there was a huge crowd, thousands if not hundreds. by d time i arrived at 9.45 am, my number was already 540!

those with numbers from 500 to 600 were placed in another hall since the interview hall was already full. even one of the Technip HR guys announced that they dun think they can interview all of us. so he suggested for those who were in a hurry to drop their CVs. me n my friend hesitated to leave n we stayed in hoping that they would still want to interview us. thank god after waiting for almost 2 hours, my number was called for the interview.

the person who interviewed me was a project engineer. he apologized for having a short time to interview me and asked me to describe myself & my current work in 1 minute! i pun 'goreng' a little here & there

after that, the interview wrote 'recommended' note on my CV and said that he will contact me within 2 weeks time. now is already wednesday & i'm still keeping my fingers crossed

SK Petro Lumut Yard- doing Fabrication ..till today,projects @ SKpetro ,Murphy- Serendah & west Patricia and Carigali/Hess- Camelia will be started soon..KM2 Self Erected Tender Rig also will be going to start..others big project will be Chevron-Bechtel Onshore Process consist of 45 Modules, it will takes three years to complete starting from next year..Current project undergoing are Brunei Shell-AMPA-9 Compression Module, Petrofac - Cendor CDW & KPOC- a very big jacket..Next step will be targetting full EPCIC contracts..and FPSO, But I don't think, they are capable to do the FPSO conversion @ Lumut Yard unless they "korek" the Sitiawan River and built a dry dock..

Went there this morning. Quite disappointed that many don't take resume drops. Slb won't take people who are currently doing part time course and not finishing anytime soon. Halliburton is conducting a test tomorrow. If you get through that, you'll get an interview

They said that it's going to be technical. There are limited papers though, so first come, first serve. Sadly I won't be able to go...can't afford to take another annual leave

i did applied as piping/mechanical engineer with SBM but they didn't call me up or even email me. how did u apply? i sent in my resume by hand and email, but sadly no call, email or watsoever from them. hmm.

McDermott dapat kontrak besar from Murphy Oil Sarawak for Petai field. McDermott use to have operation office at Miri last time but now defunct. I guess with this new contract they will reopen the opis again.

McDermott is a well-known fabricator for topside, jacket etc laying subsea piping, installation...
