hi guys n otai2 OnG, i have a humble question. Im with Civil Eng background and all this while im used to BS n sometimes Euro code. I just had the biggest and ugliest shock of my life when i was recently introduced to the A.P.I ..... is it normal for a civil eng to not have any knowledge on A.P.I ? if yes....how to manage the situation? btw, i have to prepare a manual calculation to get myself used to the code. If it is not normal...i hope to gain tips from you guys. p/s:i need help... i hope i am not the first one

QUOTE(Mooi @ Mar 16 2012, 12:37 AM) I am taking Mechanical Engineering (which is an advantage as I heard the graduates are preferred by employers as compared to.. lets say civil engineering).. but my university is still quite new. Right now, I am just hoping to get noticed with the extracurricular activities I participated. they have lets say civil n structural department. so...no problem for civil eng grads.

QUOTE(echobrainproject @ May 16 2012, 08:48 AM) so this is to fill in spaces for Miri? most probably. Since the miri office is new and lacked of "manpower"...they might need lots of staff to be eligible for project biding and etc... i might be wrong.

QUOTE(paradox @ May 18 2012, 05:50 PM) yes. I do a few project with Technip before this. Just worried they will argue about privacy all of documents project report is highly confidential. JUst mention type of projects you handle+your role in the project should be enough.

QUOTE(echobrainproject @ May 22 2012, 02:39 PM) I think what he is asking is just some info from those who have worked in sbm. I dont think websites give a clear picture of working environment (every company would like to say they have a conducive working environment). Websites wont give much info on benefits/pay too agree and i personally think that some of the forumers@so called otai here blindly assumed everyone wants to be spoonfed. this thread has become a place to brag about their experience and shut down new comers.

QUOTE(LilyPad @ May 23 2012, 12:13 PM) oi u ask question like that want to get a bashing from the otai here lorr.. we should expect questions like this since it is advisable to " merge" anything related to OnG here. Unless certain amount of experience and knowledge are required in order to comment in this thread. I've personally PM some of the otai regarding OnG issue to avoid bashing. It's not a healthy approach since this is an open platform for discussion and inquiries but i've got good feedback. Whoever started the "bashing" approach should ignore anything he/she assumes irrelevent. Btw, good job noruazumi for the brief info. He should finds his way after this.
