Esso Malaysia Berhad is more on managing downstream industry (oil refinery), which is not largely affecting ExxonMobil upstream E&P I guess. Furthermore the Esso Port Dickson Refinery is more than 60 years old, too expensive to maintain, which is justify to sell the plant to others

it was for downstream operation shares, refining & petrol station retail
most of Esso petrol station located at Sabah & Sarawak have been sold to other company like Excel-Link ExxonMobil upstream E&P is not affected by this move |

I used to work at Kerteh last time. Kemaman is a very laid-back, peaceful town. house rental was cheap, I guess max 400-500 per month. I think it is easy for you to spot one later. there's a lot of oilfield workers stationed at KSB, so make use of the networking and mingle with peoples around.

I tought BSP AMPA-9 is awarded to SKS Wood at Kuala Belait? no? I might be wrong...This post has been edited by mohdyakup: May 24 2012, 02:08 AM |

QUOTE(lovebattery @ Jun 8 2012, 11:14 AM) Ex-PETH. Prime Sourcing or formerly known as Mitco Japan MJSB is a trading arm subsidiary of Petronas. Is like middle agent lah easy to speak.Personally, when I was working with PPTSB & MLNG last time, I don't really keen to deal with MJSB, because of price factor. dahlah mark up price mahal2, dah tu bila nak issued ITB the OPU's wajib single source/direct nego with MJSB. ape kejadahhhhh MJSB has a lot of trouble when dealing with MLNG last time, particularly in MRR and MDD project. If your company is a non-bumi and want to bid in O&G tender, MJSB is the entry door. Read through about PDA1974 act about local vendor participation, you will know what I mean Added on June 8, 2012, 1:17 pmbtw, are you getting a job offer from MJSB? or your company dealing with them? QUOTE(lovebattery @ Jun 13 2012, 06:05 PM) thanks mohdyakup, MJSB would be a great starting point if you involved in specific commodities, such as tubular/piping group, specialty chemical, urea/granular etci see... hahah u simply exclude them from the SWEC list? must have tough time to justify it in front of the tender committee. however i've never encountered them in the RC & VDP list, that would lead to the 'single sourcing' scenario.. btw, i got a job offer from MBJSB. any advice? I guess you being offer as Procurement Analyst? or Trader? or Marketing/Business Devt roles? |
