QUOTE(Shengz @ Apr 13 2015, 10:35 AM) Just go with this UFO. RM 3xx Great hardware, robust; great software, manipulable. Able to handle up to 100 clients according to the manual. http://www.lelong.com.my/uap-ubiquiti-unif...6-01-Sale-P.htmIt comes with hotspot portal I see, you need to google more to find out. https://community.ubnt.com/t5/UniFi-Configu...ion/ta-p/474293Thanks, ill have a look into that. But since I got my raspberry already, I wan to try my best first on that so as not to waste my money spent on the Pi

I've got one as office nas, one as kodi media center. Now lurking around google seek for home automation info, but damn, still lacking of "touch wall switch" in the market hence the high price.

How many Pi's do you have?

QUOTE(kenloh7 @ Apr 13 2015, 12:02 AM) Hi guys, can you let me know which USB WIFI adapter with antenna provides access point support for the RPi B+? I am doing a hotspot project, and therefore I needed to have a good coverage/range, and able to support a high number of clients. I'm currently using the edimax ew-7811un nano adapter, it can be set up as an AP, but the range is only 10-15meters max, therefore I needed to find an adapter that has a higher gain, with antenna. http://elinux.org/RPi_USB_Wi-Fi_AdaptersThis is a good starting point, but you'll have to narrow it down to those that have high-gain antenna, can be access point and are available locally.

Thanks for the link! But this is the hard part. Most of the products doesn't write the chipset used, so it's hard to decide which can work. The only common adapters found here is the d-link, aztech and asus, but i couldnt find the chipset in its datasheet...

QUOTE(khaiandrew @ Apr 30 2015, 01:53 AM) These are very common character LCDs around (1602 and 12864). You should be able to use them with Pi2. There are many tutorials on the Internet as well. Just make sure that you know what voltage (3.3V or 5V) the LCD is using and connect accordingly. This post has been edited by Ubitap: Apr 30 2015, 12:47 PM

Was actually thinking of making this a mini RSS feed display kinda thing. Any ideas on how? Just got the pi yesterday

Hey guys, wanna ask. Can I use a powered USB hub as a USB hub for the Pi (duh) AND also to power the pi?
So kind of Power adaptor --> USB Hub --> Rapberry Pi --> USB Hub --> Peripherals.

AFAIK, Thundermatch in LYP should still be selling it. Got my RasPi B+ there in November last year. Ubitap should also have it.
