if you applied for it, most likely it is already activated and you have to pay.
if not, then you should call  in and cancel it or else you have to pay
doing nothing = auto accept = have to pay

I see. Thanks for the explanation.

dear users...

was trying to apply for Maybank 2 Cards but was given 2 forms... one is the normal credit card application form...but the 2nd form i need to fill in more details like more info such as my loan, debt etc. I don't feel comfortable to reveal so many details... is it a must? according to the bank agent, he told me that this is new Bank Negara requirement?

pls help. It doesn't make sense to me to reveal everything about my personal finance to the bank at all.

no idea what is the current process, but rather than give a 3rd party (agent) all this information, why don't you submit the application to MBB branch or MBB card centre in 1U?

It is not really BNM requirement. It seems that effective last month for MBB only, all applicants have to declare their financial position in a separate form.

Ic....i just don't feel comfortable to provide all information...
if this is just MBB only... and confirm effective last month...then it is OK...

thanks!

And Bro, to be 100% sure, like zenquix said, go apply at 1U Maybankard Centre (noted that you mentioned bank agent which I assume you meant you apply at Maybank branch). Or call them - tel number posted in first page of MBB 2 Thread.

BNM did requested banks to access the affordability of a loan product to customers in the form of Debt Service Ratio, i.e. DSR. In their guidelines, BNM mentioned not only those loan debts by financial institution but any other debt commitments should be obtained at best effort basis.

Eg, loans like koperasi loan is not in CCRIS, installment payment to Courts Mammoth is not there etc...

So don't be alarmed if banks gives you another form to "declare", they need to comply to BNM by doing this.

normally, how long is the waiting time to receive the card after approval?
and plus, if we are going pay via ezypay installment scheme, do we need to submit any form to the bank? or the retailer will do it for you?

Depend on bank, some post the card by pos laju, some post using snail mail. You may need to call cs to confirm when the card had been sent.
For Ezpay, no need form. The merchant will set at cc terminal while you swipe the card for the transaction.

Hi all and sifus, would like to have some clarification on Maybank Petronas Visa card.

It stated '8x TreatsPoints for purchase at groceries every weekend' on the website.

Would like to know when it says groceries, does it mean at the Petronas shop only or any big grocery shop such as Giant, Carefour, Tesco etc.

Thank you in advance.
