if 3G not required, wouldn't it be best to just delete of the APNs ?

you can do that, with deleting the APN, but for me, i always use 2G, and switch to 3G whenever i need to surf or FB, and switch back to 2G for the normal data syncing that don't need speed. MIUI has a 2G/3G shortcut

yes it can use...but will charge until 86% something only...due to kernel problem
if ur defy use 2.3 kernel then is ok can charge full

anyone got a good battery to recommend? ori battery how much? mine dying damn fast now...cannot last a day, even undervolted

1. Take off your battery, micro sd and sim card
2. Put your "defy" in to Freezer for 24 hours or more(wrap it in a plastic)
3. Take out your defy from freezer
4. Make sure your defy dry first
5. After you sure your defy dry, put back your battery, micro sd and sim card.
6. Finish, no more dead pixel

i have same problem like you. and i've try this and it's work for me. the dead/stuck pixel almost gone except the big one

I just ordered the so called gold battery from ebay. it claims having a rating of 2430mAh, if it can outlast the stock battery then it is good enough.

im using custom mod WIUI, can last 3 days (normal used)
