what package are u using??
if package RM66/RM77
that should normal average 50kbps

but if package RM88/RM99,
that should be a problemm

yeah i think they capped my bandwidth
im pretty sure im using basic 1.0 M,
my "mutimedia registration confirmation slip" still here,
"ref. service type: screamyx basic 1.0m - rm77 free modem (festival pakage)"
thier cs said i have "internal wiring problem",
and second time they said they have reconfigured my account setting
over one week already my peak download speed still below 50kbps... =.=

cable n stuff. just now they we're fixing something and snr margin up by 1 point. before this 6.5 .

Call TM at 100 and report to them of a low SNR margin. Have them to check your copper wire.

erm well, streamyx tech guys and tm came over my house today.
i try to explain them about SNR margin and line anttenuation, they just don't seem to care about it or don't understand.

they told me that, as long as you can connect and surf google / yahoo / streamyx website without blinking ( aka normal surf ) , then the line pass.

but anyhow, the promise to check cable tomorrow. see how it goes..

don't rely on the TM workers, just like u called up 1800 CS, they asked to bypass splitters, on-off modem, reset IE setting defaults, this and that those useless procedures.

try contact with sub contractor of TM, they may do well job, and pay a little bucks for re-wiring.

I've wrote a couple email to TM support center, and i get ignored. They choose to keep quiet.

Uauuu,you have Line attenuation 60dB,3 loss of signal(but is that second?).
You have problem,it can be from cable from DSLAM to Modem,PBX to DSLAM,
couple in phone distribution cabinet,or DSL spliter is gone,it dont separate the frequency for Voice range from DSL range.SNR margin is a statistic which can not help you to solve the problem. So Call on your ISP to test the line with loop tester.

You're on long distance from DSLAM,that's the reason for your attenuation of 63dB
Max is 4500m,if more you have to switch of the phone device.
We tested before one ADSL ove Pots,Annex A on 8000m from DSLAM,he cant up more than 6dB SNR margin and attenuation on DSL line was 69dB,and when he open some url,DSL goes unhinge from DSLAM,couse the noise on DSL Output Power going to 28dB,it have to be for normal operate in interval-6dB to -3 max in case when you do not use Browsing or downloading(quiet mode).
Your ISP must set there nearly to you one more DSL Concentrator,example CISCO 6500,2 switch(BRAS) and some routers to backup the line,but that need a budget

A TM guy direct a line to my modem and the line attenuation is 63 and 31.
SNR margin is 11 for both DS and US.

However, after they direct cable to my modem, My disconnection time is around 2 hrs
I hope they don't say is my internal wiring problem... Because I just use a new cable just for three months just because of streamyx.
Note: I have 3 parallel lines. Which means, a cable come from the cable box is splitted into three(all same fixed line number). 2 for phones(2 year old cable) and 1 for screamyx(3 months old cable). That TM guy direct a cable to my modem and now i can connect internet with 2 hrs disconnection but I can no longer use my other 2 house phones! Tell me what should I do? I need to use the house phone for fax, internet and particularly chatting!

Another matter is, i will never be able to connect the internet if my house phone is plugged in. It is either to choose, internet or phone calls...

I think i feel like I am using back 56k modem...
Just the speed is slightly faster.

Please teach me what should I do, Sifu, sensei!!

Sensei, why my neighbour can connect with no problem?
Last time I tap his wireless line and never get disconnected. Of course using his internet with permission.

I also face the low SNR margin problem (4-6), I always get the adsl sync's drop problem.

Now I'm using PPPOA on the aztech 600e instead of my netgear WGR614 v5 and I don't have anymore disconnections. However if I surf international websites it's slower than dial-up! Local website have the normal speed.

When my SNR is 10, I won't have disconnection on the netgear, but problem is my snr is always at 6.

EDIT: my connections become worse, reverted to using netgear
