To those who have been driving the new Civic on the highway, care to comment on the NVH as compared to previous generations? Can hear the radio without turning up the volume at > 110km/h?

Can hear the radio without turning up the volume at > 110km/h? Never try the ex-version civic. But the tyres noise was loud on high speed compare to altis. Slight better than M3 but not as good as t.altis. Have to admit the elantra and 408 NVH were good. Anyway, there is setting in player to fine tune the volume smartly based on your vehicle speed

Maybe its bcoz of the stock ps3 tyre

Finally reporting in. As for NVH, my 1.8 is much quieter than FD model as tried before. All the wheel arch are fully covered this time round. Suspensions are much more comfortable than FDs. Cornering is good too due to shorter wheel base where the FDs had problem for its rear wheel to catch up with the front wheel due to longer wheel base. I feel that this FB drives almost like the Accord 7th Gen. just to share, the 8th Gen Accord is a let down as compares to the 7th Gen Accord. For those who mentioned that NVH for new 2.0 is loud on highway could be due to PS3 tyres. Just like the current facelifted Accord is much quieter than the pre facelift model.
Added on August 8, 2012, 9:06 amI am on ECON mode all the time. I am ok with it. No complain of lacking to torque or power thus far. Thanks.
Added on August 8, 2012, 9:07 amThe seats are softer than the FDs.

Just to share my experience with the Honda civic hybrid :- Book car on the 13th Jul and got the car two days ago....Almost one whole month...no complaint as some dealer even cannot commit and was telling have to wait at least 1 to 2 month. Choose the hybrid mainly with the features and value for money. Oversea hybrid is selling 30~40% more expensive than the conventional but back here with the tax exemption we got it cheaper. why not ? Overall drive was smooth, overall acceleration no complaint...have not push all the way yet, waiting to break it... sound absorption good, running till 120kmph without much noise. Love the keyless entry, push start and overall control functions.. FC still yet to confirm...from the dealer petrol given managed to cover about 200km around 15km/l. Pump in another RM77 and the car range suddenly shown 1050km and running at highway giving me the max consumption of 24.5km/l. Running in the city dropping down to 20km/l. Will monitor using the actual amount of petrol pump in versus the distance cover. Have to do more data analysis to believe the indicator. Installed window tint with Hyper Optic Sech 60 for FWS and C40 for the rest, looks good with the car white colour. It's cover with JPJ summons. HO is slighly cheaper than VKool with almost same performance and yet no problem with my gps, smart tag and guard entrance. Hope the above info is helpful to anyone need it, no offend, it's only my 2 cents worth of thought and experience.

QUOTE(BravoZeroTwo @ Aug 8 2012, 10:26 AM) Thanks civic2012. Drive slow. But somehow I think the road noise is quite obvious, not sure whether this is related to the Dunlop tyres. I also feel a bit inconvenience as the audio do not have mute or pause function and the back seat are unfoldable. Other than these, it is a great car to drive.
