It has more mature styling which suits my taste. The drive is much better than the old one. Seats are more comfy than the old one too. NVH also better. Thanks.

I too went to the show room to find fault with its quality issues as mentioned on the US car talk websites. But, I couldn't upon closer look and test drive three times. Turned out the 9th Gen Civic is the best seller in its segment in the USoA. It even outsold its 8th Gen model. Thanks.

It is still a 9 Gen model. Unless one's talking about full model change in 10 Gen Civic which is like 5-6 years' time cycle.

Honda having difficulty to pay duties, seems like offline for a week already. That cannot register the cars.

Haha, sounds good. My wife's side got some hiccups with the loan application. It's even starting to piss me off right now that I told her, if today cannot the loan resolved then fxxx the bank and just apply to the bank I'm using now.

Seems like each Bank has its own set of rules ? Why is that so I am puzzled here.

Who knows? Maybe the loan officer is incompetent, we'll never really know the real reason. One stupid loan also can drag nearly a week, ask this and ask that, submit this and submit that until now also cannot approve yet.

The loan that I took for my car is complete opposite - morning submit all required documents, evening approve already.

Agree. Better use one that you are familiar with and the Bank that knows you.

Bro, I think u have to update yourself about Kia "very low" resale value perception. doh.gif
The new generation Kia's made products are not same with last time like spectra or citra etc...

Fyi, I just done a research from Internet regarding Forte 2.0 vs civic 2.0 resale value.

I found a used car dealer selling forte 2.0 2010 at 76k whereas another seller selling his civic 2.0 2010 at 110k.
If i divide the resale value with the 2010 new OTR price w/o insurance, i.e, 91,224 & 126,442 respectively, the depreciation rate will be 17% and 13% respectively.

There are just 4% behind civic, but your have to bear in mind that u have save 35k interest in the 1st pace and u get a lot of features that civic don't have.

So, do you still think that kia resale value "very low"? whistling.gif

One has to find out how much was the trade in price for the Forte as compares to the Civic ? From there compares with the selling prices of the dealers then, only would it be more accurate of assumption of the two resale value. Thanks.
