Just to share my experience with the Honda civic hybrid :-
Book car on the 13th Jul and got the car two days ago....Almost one whole month...no complaint as some dealer even cannot commit and was telling have to wait at least 1 to 2 month. Choose the hybrid mainly with the features and value for money. Oversea hybrid is selling 30~40% more expensive than the conventional but back here with the tax exemption we got it cheaper. why not ?
Overall drive was smooth, overall acceleration no complaint...have not push all the way yet, waiting to break it... sound absorption good, running till 120kmph without much noise.
Love the keyless entry, push start and overall control functions..
FC still yet to confirm...from the dealer petrol given managed to cover about 200km around 15km/l.
Pump in another RM77 and the car range suddenly shown 1050km and running at highway giving me the max consumption of 24.5km/l. Running in the city dropping down to 20km/l. Will monitor using the actual amount of petrol pump in versus the distance cover. Have to do more data analysis to believe the indicator.
Installed window tint with Hyper Optic Sech 60 for FWS and C40 for the rest, looks good with the car white colour. It's cover with JPJ summons. HO is slighly cheaper than VKool with almost same performance and yet no problem with my gps, smart tag and guard entrance.
Hope the above info is helpful to anyone need it, no offend, it's only my 2 cents worth of thought and experience.

Just would like to take some times to continue my next chapter..
Done another 100km today, mainly city drive, jammed, lots of traffic light, waiting in the car and so on...this lead to the FC dropped significant to 16km/l ( from 20km/l) and range dropped from 1k+ to 700+ and still dropping. Surprisingly, the auto stop doesn't causes the aircon to produce hot air, the air con is as good as when the engine is running. I've to test further if the ( auto stop ) functions will start the engine when it detected that it's no longer producing cool air due to very hot weather or too often of stoppage ( BMW 520i having the function to auto start again when the engine need the power even the break is being continuing press )

Trying to turning off the radio to observe the noise level ( using the power button on the radio as mute button ), and notice the noise coming from the tire was quite obvious....Hopefully, the noise will get lesser as the tire thread get smoothen out.
Technically if the tire thread is bigger / broader --> noisy ---> can last longer, if the thread is smaller/more line ---> less noise ---> but the thread will be gone faster. I believe HM providing the current Dunlop may not the best option for sound noise.

Another funny finding today, the desk board is producing some signal sound ( small buzzer bee sound ) for about 3~4 sec, on every alternate interval of 4~5 times on pressing the break....very low sound but irritating when you've notice the present. Did anybody do encountered the same scenario. Is it normal ? Will have to go back to HM for an answer.

So far, I did not encounter this buzzer sound. Is there any message on MID or light shown in the intrument panel? I think it is better to check with HM quickly.

The buzzer sound is pretty low to be observed.
No message or what so ever indication, Call up HM but they don't have any technical expert and refer back to the dealer which also do not know the reason of this case, require to send back for checking... sweat.gif

Bro Honda Civic Hybrid uses Dual Stage compressor for aircond (Compare to Insight/Jazz/Crz which use single stage compressor)

the Civic Hybrid compressor run on Belt and Electric your compressor still run although engine stop...

Thanks bro for your technical answer, that's suppose to be another great features...i guess.. thumbup.gif

Since when does the auto stop stop the aircon as well? Ive driven auto stop cars in Germany and none of them produce hot air. The air con cooling drops a bit for sure but its still cold air.

And just to correct your statement on FC above. When u said the consumption 'dropped' from 20km/L to 16km/L, it means that your consumption increased not dropped. 20km/l means you car travelled 20km on 1L of fuel while in city driving your car could only travel 16km on 1L of fuel. This shows an increase in FC not a decrease.

May be it's my wrong assumption on :- engine stop ---> compressor stop ----> hot air....,
You're right, FC high which indicated dropping of mileage covered. Anyway, the FC for civic hybrid is acceptable to me, and running at highway is very much better. Overall I should be achieving RM0.10 to 0.14/km.

Just went over to Honda to highlight the "buzzer" sound which actually came from an electric motor generating pressure to the break booster, ( That's why it happen after a few pump to the break ) not very sure what he's talking about, but he kind of explain that it's only in Hybrid Civic with extra electric motor and all car are having the same scenario. Since, I'm just an ordinary driver, as long as i turn on the radio, the sound is gone..... whistling.gif whistling.gif

Happy driving.....

could it be the charging motor? i think u better check with HM mechanics on the abnormal sounds

anyone driving civic hybrid already done 1000km preventive maintenance?

The spinning motor sound is normal ( sound like a buzzer sound ) coming from an electric motor generate pressure to the booster of the break. ( after 2~3 pump to the break ) I've notice it long ago ( post # 914 ) and confirm with HM and also tested a new show room car which's also having the same scenario.

I've done my 1K services last week.

What was done in the service? No engine oil change until 10000km right?
*
no change of oil, just overall inspection...fluid level, tire pressure....
I just highlighted to them occasionally IMiD display "passenger airbag off" and was told it's due to light weight object ( bag or kid ) being detected at the passenger seat which do not trigger the passenger airbag ? innocent.gif
