QUOTE(sparrowed @ Apr 2 2012, 09:53 PM) so you went to test drive few rounds already right? wanna ask , hows the paddle shifters work? im very interested at this. i only managed to play with the paddle shift once on my first test few weeks back. i remember need to push the gear back to D (+) before you can manually use the paddle shift. correct me if i am wrong but i feel that it's a bit fussy to do that. why can't i just shift down from the paddle right? maybe the SA explained to me wrongly. |

QUOTE(stevenycs @ Apr 2 2012, 09:39 PM) Of course there are cheaper ones outside, starting bout 1k. But if you want to get the one from kia it will cost you 4k+ including installation.QUOTE(sparrowed @ Apr 2 2012, 09:40 PM) There are cheaper ones no doubt. But if it comes with the car i feel its more worth it than to get the cash discount. |

Didn't really managed to test out the navigator just went thru the DVD/Tuner/CD function. There are cheaper ones no doubt. But if it comes with the car i feel its more worth it than to get the cash discount. As mentioned earlier, they need to register the car only they can activate the navigator with the activation key. So I can't see how fast the GPS lock on or how is the interface. Gonna test drive AGAIN this weekend at Federal KIA branch. They are bringing in the 2.0 FL so hopefully they register it so I can test the navigator off. |

Manage to lock within 10 seconds plus its in 1 utama building As mentioned earlier, they need to register the car only they can activate the navigator with the activation key. QUOTE(stevenycs @ Apr 2 2012, 09:56 PM) i only managed to play with the paddle shift once on my first test few weeks back. Actually don't need to manually trigger the paddle shifts. Just press the paddle shifts and your gears will change accordingly i remember need to push the gear back to D (+) before you can manually use the paddle shift. correct me if i am wrong but i feel that it's a bit fussy to do that. why can't i just shift down from the paddle right? maybe the SA explained to me wrongly. E.g. While at AT mode, press ( - ) paddle shift and your car will shift down 1 gear. You will notice that your dashboard will tell you what gear you're at instead of just "D". Your car will maintain in MT mode for at least 5 seconds before changing back to AT mode automatically I always use this technique to overtake cars instead of flooring the accelerator / changing to MT mode |

Hi all kia forte owners,
I plan to buy a new car. Now considering Mazda2 or Forte 1.6 SX. I understand from some forums that Forte does have rattling sound (on dashboard) and car pull to the left problem. Is that true? Can those be fixed? Please kindly advise. Thanks. |
