maybe someleft was left running like lights? (door light, map light)? Although by right after off engine the lights should be turned off if i recall correctly - to save battery and to prevent things like this from happening..maybe the battery connector is lose i guess? need to check

My 2 day old 1.6sx can't start. basket!

I woke up today morning planning to wash the car. when arrived at door, try to open it but failed. need to use the key to open the door. 1 thing i've noticed when opening my door is that the cabin somewhat dimmer than usual. initial thought was the battery. try to push the start/stop button, nothing came up, feels like battery is weak.

It really bumps me, 2 day old cars and the battery is already weak? or perhaps something else is wrong with the car? can't fix it by today though, since all SC closed on sunday, according to the girl who answer the 24/7 emergency assistance number.

Will update tomorrow the real cause of the car breakdown.

Bro..check your battery connector!...many of new batch forte owner experience this before...

built in forte got no alarm, the so called button to trigger "alarm" on the key is just to locate your car in a parking lot. if u leave the car idle, it wont auto lock..i dont know which car at that price or cheaper does that even..

Yup, no alarm. Its actually called a panic button smile.gif But to add on to that, if you unlock your car and don't open your door within 30 seconds, it'll lock back itself smile.gif

Yup forgot to mention that part..this feature most cars have it like myvi has it too to prevent u from accidentally unlocking your car when the remote is in your pocket. alarm can be installed from the SC officially WITHOUT voiding warranty. if install from outside, it will void. heard the price is RM 400 if not mistaken

On the remote control lor. Icon of a horn tongue.gif
I don't find the point of installing an alarm. If someone really wants to steal your car, they WILL steal it without triggering your alarm. You're better off with a pedal lock I feel smile.gif If you want maximum security, then go for those GSM trackers / immobilizers, but that also can't guarantee much smile.gif
Besides that, if your alarm too sensitive, its gonna be a nuisance in your neighbourhood rclxub.gif

I am planning to get 1.6SX soon.

Does it come with the new touchscreen player? Are there new KIA Forte model coming soon?

I am trying to gather informations before dealing with the SA. Worried they try to trick me.

Where got delay. Those professionals that good till what kind of alarm you put also won't trigger icon_question.gif For me, put something to show people that you have protected your car (e,g, steering lock). So that for those opportunist stealers won't go for your car. Professional car stealers will most probably tow your car. Unless you have motion sensitive alarms (which will trigger every time it hears thunder), don't think theres anything that can stop them smile.gif GSM trackers lor. Find them while they are transporting your car. And thats before they throw your car into a container whistling.gif
Lucky for us Forte owners, Kia not that hot in the black market.. So not many ppl want to steal tongue.gif If you own a Honda or Toyota, then you better be weary smile.gif

Nope. when i check just now, no power what so ever left in the car. This morning the cabin light can still lid, but become dimmer than usual. Now the car is like no power source connected to it.

Will call the breakdown assist first thing tomorrow. Hope it just the batt issue, nothing more serious. cry.gif

yea la i think most probably the FL is with the touch screen HU and bodykit.... thats not bad actually...
