thanks appreciate your feedback smile.gif

Btw any forte 2.0 regrets not getting 1.6sx? If yes any reason like high fc, hot leather seat and etc?
*
I think there are more 1.6 regrets not getting 2.0....to me for the comparrison price between 2.0 forte and others 2.0 cars compare to forte 1.6 and others 1.6 cars...2.0 is more value for money..

Also the body and weight forte is just nice and more suitable for 2.0....anyway its all depend on your budget...if budget allow definitely go for 2.0!.. thumbup.gif

My 2 day old 1.6sx can't start. basket!

I woke up today morning planning to wash the car. when arrived at door, try to open it but failed. need to use the key to open the door. 1 thing i've noticed when opening my door is that the cabin somewhat dimmer than usual. initial thought was the battery. try to push the start/stop button, nothing came up, feels like battery is weak.

It really bumps me, 2 day old cars and the battery is already weak? or perhaps something else is wrong with the car? can't fix it by today though, since all SC closed on sunday, according to the girl who answer the 24/7 emergency assistance number.

Will update tomorrow the real cause of the car breakdown.

Hi... actually I'm planning to get a used forte... maybe a 2010 one.. .I have a few question I hope u all can help
1. For the 2010 version, other than the changing from 4 speed to 6 speed, is there any other different for the feature and specification for sx version
2. How's the fuel consumption between 4 speed and 6 speed and the driving experience seriously get big different?
3. For the version of 2010, is there any major problem for the cars?
4. How long is the warranty for a forte? Most of the car is 3 years  or certain mileage,  if the mileage limit haven exceed, then will the warranty for 3 years still applicable for the new owner of the car as there is an ownership transfer happened to the car.
Alto of questions...  yet, thanks for the senior fortezen 1st

1. As i remember..beside 6 speed...there are few features added such as auto fold side mirror, rear view camera, bluetooth and paddle shift.

2. I can say there are no big different for the fuel consumption and driving experience between these 2 version...maby slightly advantage for 6 speeder on the highway.

3. Most of the 2010 forte (maby all..im not sure)...are CBU from korea...if you make some researh about feedback from owners...there are not much complain especially for the quality issue...mine for example....my car really solid and tip top condition from day 1...i never encountered any problem like dashboard rattling sound or any annoying sound...my only minor problem so far is brake switch...but after i change it...problem solve. And for the 6 speeder..there are got some complain for the quality issue...but i think its just for minor issue maybe bcoz its CKD in msia.

4. I think most of the 4 speed forte only got 2 years warranty...but some of the owner like me had paid certain amount to get extended warranty for another 3 years with unlimited milage...and yes its can transfer to the new owner...so this is the important part if u want to look for used forte....but now all new forte come with 5 years warranty.

IsĀ  the 1.6 sufficient or is it recommended to go for 2.0? monthly instalment slightly higher but i plan to use the car for at least 7 to 10 years.. not the kind to keep changing cars.

Currently in need of a long term car cos my old trusty corolla is going to be given to my younger brother.

Haha, I am planning on buying too, and my 22yr old corolla should be going into the family's back-up car.
Love the cruise control in 2.0, but in dilemma should I get the 1.6 instead due to future maintenance cost. In general terms higher cc cars will have higher maintenance/parts cost. (correct me if I'm wrong)

Anyhow, if buying a 2.0, with a little top up I can get a POLO Sedan. confuse confuse confuse.
Require spoon feeding!! laugh.gif

POLO sedan is a B segment kosong car from india!
