QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Mar 23 2012, 11:09 PM) seems a bit weird to have paddle shifters on a CVT since CVT has infinite gears...much like having this in the old honda city..would make more sense on a conventional gearbox like the forte Well, speaking from the POV of someone who had driven the old City iDSI, having defined ratios on a CVT isn't entirely useless. It's good for tackling corners and bends where you want to induce engine braking. It's also good for times when you want to maintain good fuel economy on highways by putting the CVT into the highest ratio (somewhat like locking the ratio instead of letting it fluctuate). When virtually 'locked' in 7th, the drivetrain was less sensitive towards tiny changes in throttle input compared to leaving it in infinite mode. But for outright acceleration and climbing hills, switching the stick to 'S' mode was the most effective.

It 'shift' as fast & as responsive as the conventional gearbox's paddleshifters if not better. But for Proton's 7-speed Pro-tronic CVT, yet to has its reviews. By the way, bro gregy's POV is in fact very true if u ask me... This post has been edited by izputra: Mar 24 2012, 09:32 AM

Hey Guys, a new comer here from outer space.
Sorry to side track a bit. Ever since I have my test drive with Forte 2.0 , 6 speed, I have irresistibly fallen in love with this baby on earth.
But to my surprise, the SA told me that this model DO NOT have Ebony Black anymore. All the Forte Taikos here, is it true that NAZA stop assembling Ebony Black Model ? ? ? Why then ? Black can't sell ? Any Taiko here with an Ebony Black Forte 2.0 , 6 speed ?

I guess so. when i place order for 1.6SX last week, SA told me that only Bright silver, Titanium Silver and white color available on all trims of forte. Kinda bumped, coz i really like Metal Broze. the test drive unit is on that color though~

BTW, the most popular colour I think is the Clear White. More than 50% of the Forte I noticed on the road are White in colour. But I really love Black. Kinda like invisible at night. I have made up my mind; going to order a 2.0L SX next month. Hopefully they manage to find me one Black Baby.

From what I heard from my sales lady, now only got 3 colours - Titanium Grey, Clear White and Silver. This is because the other colours not so "hot", thats why they don't produce anymore. I tried to ask for black too, but my sales lady told me impossible unless I go respray when the car comes in

Once pay, paperwork settled, can straight take car. I opted for Titanium silver. Already booked in fact, then suddenly sales lady told me no stock and if want, have to wait So I opted for the next best available colour.. White
