QUOTE(nicgoh @ May 19 2012, 02:41 PM) I think I have no complaints about the forte. It might not look as good as the elantra but I think driving wise, it's better and it also has a better engine response. it's also spacious so you won't have to worry about carrying more people or groceries. I used to travel up and down kl Seremban for almost 1.5 years. No issues at all. I think resale value isn't too bad. Just renewed my insurance and was proposed 61k for a 2 year old car. That's a 25% depreciation which I feel is acceptable for any 2 year old car. Mudah prices for 2010 car ranges from 63 to 68k This post has been edited by Gilthoniel: May 19 2012, 05:28 PM |

QUOTE(Gilthoniel @ May 19 2012, 05:26 PM) Nic, the 2.0 is worth getting if it's within your budget range. But if you are always in start stop traffic, the 1.6 will give you better FC definitely. Compared to my wife's old Vios which gave her 530km for rm75 then it will lose la but Vios is a Vios, and that car will give you no satisfaction at all besides a good Fc.. My scirocco gives me 550km with spirited driving for rm95, 680km with sedated driving for the same amount. So honestly, the forte's FC should be no concern at all for anyone. I think I have no complaints about the forte. It might not look as good as the elantra but I think driving wise, it's better and it also has a better engine response. it's also spacious so you won't have to worry about carrying more people or groceries. Mudah prices for 2010 car ranges from 63 to 68k then the FC seems to be reasonable for such a big car.. the spacious factor is the factor for me to fall in love to this car.. just wan to confirm with u guys whether this car has many problems or not.. seems my parents doubt the korean cars quality coz the previous models are not that appealing.. but i do believe forte is a good car wit many positive comments in this thread.. thanks again bro.. scirocco is a nice car bro! |

QUOTE(bornwilder @ May 7 2012, 06:26 PM) Actually if ur car is still not out. i would reckon that u take the older model with the normal HU. the new HU is hopeless. sound quality bad, radio also receiving is not that good. if ur playing music with usb it will detect only some mp3's the rest even if detected cannot play. then the player will hang. i would say get the additional rebate of RM2500 without the new HU is a better deal. take that money and go install a better audio. to answer ur question regarding speednavi..i dont know i have yet to get my codes from my SA and i got fed up and installed papago instead. on the forum here is stated that speednavi is free for 1 year only, but my SA also tells me it is free for life. I just got my new 1.6 SX forte on last Wednesday.Seen postings about ppl asking about papago in the new HU. its working fine and like a charm. i cannot compare with speednavi as i have yet to try it out. They rebate mé for RM2.5k and i went for bodykit+Carpet+tinted for 1.6k. i have tried with the new HU radio. as per observed from other users as you, the radio reception is quite bad. However this could be fixed by turning off the AF and TA. It's work fine for now. For the Sound system, yes, i have to admit that the sound quality goes bad compared to old radio, However I'm realized that for any movies played, the video sound quality is great! I would believe the New HU radio have been shifted to support more on video sound ! yet is not too bad. So far i got my licence code and software activation code for my GPS navigation on the second day after i got my forte! so far until this moment, i'm pretty enjoying with all features there and driving with my Forte! ^^ |

I went to the Curve to check out Forte 1.6 SX, since I'm interested to change my car in the coming months. The 6-speed feels different than the 4-speed I test drove two years ago. I like it. My biggest disappointment is that it doesn't come in black anymore. Is that true?

Hi all,
I am interested in the Kia Forte 2.0SX and have the following enquires 1) The ground clearance is only 150mm. Do anyone experience bumping issues or scratches to the car when going over road humps or bumps? This is a concern as the existing car that I am using has higher ground clearance. 2) I read in the forum that the newer Forte now comes with HU with in built navigation system GPS. Does that apply to 2.0SX also? I just have to wait for the newer batch so that it comes with the new HU? 3) I read in review that there is loud engine noise when going for RPM above 4500RPM. Do anyone experience it? Thank you all for your help. |

Engine noise is abit loud pass that mark but i think most cars are like that, no? |
