Just wondering, if I'm going for RAID 1 2x2TB, is WD Red suitable? I mean, I'm just backing up, now using it to transfer files via Network..

Western Digital Unleashes All-New WD Black Family of Hard Drives with Up To 48% Higher Performance.
QUOTE Western Digital’s new WD Black FZEX family of HDDs feature all new dual-core application processor that brings in WD’s Dynamic Cache Technology, which increases performance by improving caching algorithms in real time and optimizing the cache allocation between reads and writes. This results in the drive automatically allocating more cache for read data, which reduces data congestion and increases overall performance. According to WD’s internal tests, the new 1TB drives are 26% faster than the predecessors (WD Black FAEX family) and the 4TB model increases performance by dramatic 48% in certain benchmarks. http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/storage/displ...erformance.html http://www.wdc.com/wdproducts/library/Spec...2879-771434.pdf |
