I'm planning to buy a NEX-5N for my coming trip on early Oct.

I've checked around and I found that the price for single lens(NEX-5NK) is around RM2150-2200 with the usual freebies(SD card, bag etc.)

I also understand there's a new NEX-F5 coming next month?

Is it a bad idea to buy it now? Do you guys think there'll be a significant price drop( >RM200? ) for the NEX-5N once the new NEX is announced?

Thanks~

Hi jerm,

I'm gonna sell my 16mm, it might be a good lens only doesn't suit me, Im gonna replacing my camera cap to 19mm, my 16mm still in very mint condition, I think shutter count with this lens <1000 as my nex sc only 2200, and most of my time I shoot with my 50mm and 85mm.

My sample photo, instead of soft edge another reason to sell it is too wide for shooting in street, hehe. Just offer me a price if it's ok I will just sell it.

but for me price is my only concern laugh.gif

mainly because i don't have time to wait for the new NEX as I need the camera before Oct.

Is there a big price drop last year for NEX-5 after the NEX-5N is announced?

Added on August 13, 2012, 8:48 pmcomparing another photo by 17-50, similar condition, 17mm@f/8.

sharpness, details, WB, doesn't need to be pixel peeping also understand why I'm frustrated with the 16mm...

Yeah very serious and trust me this photo had stop down to f/8, and always like a layer of fog while shooting with this lens, I never add any filter on the lens.

That's 70210 a.k.a beercan, 20+ old lens but IQ is much better than 16mm, hehe boost the iso, our nex perform very well on high iso that's I can't denied.

Just curious asking, what is the max ISO can go for with low noise? 1600 or 3200?

Hehe sometime I use until 3,200, I'm not sure how good compare with others camera, but if compare to my a200, it's much better, maybe 3,200 on nex is 800 on a200, but noise is not big issue, compared to miss the shot, so just boost it whenever you need thats the reason we buy big sensor camera IMHO smile.gif

The most I maintaining at 1600 ISO, feel better than 3200 as it will more significant low noise, personally believed that max ISO for nex stop at 1600 for daytime and 3200 for night photo.

Noobiba, indeed the vignette in your photo is pretty serious. But I guess it doesn't show in shots taken outdoors and without plain colora

Depending on how big you want to print. I guess 800 is very good for A3. Maybe 1,600 at A4. Just shoot at whatever ISO is required with the shutter speed and aperture your require lor.

Do agree, I hate to get lost focus on my photo...better boost up ISO for better Shutter Speed which I learned on speedboat recently
