In between Canon 60D and Canon 7D which is better? Which support highest ISO? I did love 7D more focus point than 60D, but some friend say take 60D better cause 7D is old.

RX100> S110 definitely. Bigger sensor, better image quality, better ISO performance rclxm9.gif

Size wise, also not that much bigger. Still pretty pocketable smile.gif

7D is a level higher than the 60D lolz.

It goes like this, 1D series>5D series>7D> Double Digit Bodies(50D,60D,etc)>Triple digit bodies(600D,650D)>4 digit bodies (1000D,1100D) biggrin.gif

60D can go up to ISO 12800 [expanded mode] which I think should be the same as the 7D. Anyway, that's just the max ISO a camera can shoot at. Higher ISO rating doesn't mean better low light performance, but comparing both for high ISO performance, both exhibit very similar results... smile.gif

Hi. Do take a look at the Nikon Coolpix P7100. I just bought one myself and I am very happy with the results. It has the ability to shoot in RAW format and its battery life is above average - 350 shots according to CIPA standards, but if you reduce the brightness of the LCD dispay and turn off all sounds from menus and buttons, it can last well up to one full day of intense shooting. I brought my unit for a test-run in Mid Valley last week and its battery life really surprised me.

In terms of photo quality, I dare say it is able to produce DSLR-like images if you really spend some time exploring all its functions and capabilities.

Just wanna have some opinion here...
So most of time I've been using dslr for a decent time now..
And now i thought maybe it's time for me to have a smaller backup cam which is easy for me to carry around., and i have this thought of taking either
Leica dlux 4 or pana lx5, which has quite similarities interm of spec.,
Anyone have experience with these two?

G12 and P7100 are two direct rivals. Both have the same sensor, and in terms of functionality, they are very similar to each other. However, no two different models are 100% identical. G12 is equipped with a swivel-type LCD screen while the P7100 has an articulated-type screen. The screen size on the G12 is slightly smaller compared to the P7100 (2.8" vs 3.0"). If you are a fan of big screens, G12 will not make you happy although the difference is just a mere 0.2".

Image quality slightly favours the P7100, in my opinion, and according to most online reviews. That's the ultimate reason for me to pick the P7100, besides the screen and (of course) the price. When I bought the camera, it was a whopping RM300 to RM400 difference. I do not mind the articulated screen on the P7100, as I mainly use it on landscapes and portraits.

Oh ya. The P7100 feels a lot sturdier when you grip it on your hands. If you look closely at their handgrips, P7100 follows the shape of your fingers. Feels good man... thumbup.gif

Hi Kytz, i understand the level hierarchy of canon dslr, 7D level is higher than 60D but how about the performance? Cause 7D and 60D release date is quite different and 60D might attach with new technology which useful than 7D. If high ISO performance and focus on low lighting, which is better?

I believe both might be also similar in terms of focus speed as both have all cross type AF points. But honestly speaking, better lenses with more superior focusing mechanisms like the USM in Canon lenses, would play a bigger role in getting a faster focus lock-on speed smile.gif

Besides the more AF points on the 7D, it also has a faster burst rate (8fps vs 5.3fps), bigger and better built body (magnesium alloy body vs plastic), 100% VF but doesn't have the luxury of a swivel screen in the 60D. The other minor differences are the creative filters, picture rating, basically stuff that don't mean much laugh.gif

Dlux 4 is a rebadged LX3 which is the predecessor to the LX5 which itself is the predecessor to the LX7. Since you're talking panaleica budgets... Then just get the RX100... Very impressive small camera
