NEX F3 should be fine for such job if it's just for personal blog or something smile.gif
Go for the NEX F3, it has a APS-C sensor found in most DSLRs, shoots well in low light smile.gif
About RM2.8k smile.gif

Thanks, i will survey Fuji X100

By the way, price for Sony RX100 is around RM 2.4k, Sony RX1 is around RM 9k sweat.gif

Hi guys so its now down to the final choosing moment for me.

G12 vs NEX-F3

Priority - image quality especially night view.

I know its unfair to compare as both fall in different category but price wise - the difference is just too small. Just compare the image quality assuming the standard kit lens that will come with NEX-F3.

In my heart it seem NEX-F3 will do much better. Last piece of advise for me maybe?

The G12 is no where near the quality of the NEX F3 based on sheer sensor size alone. Difference is like night and day. Plus, with the F3 you get the versatility of changing lenses and accessories thumbup.gif

In low light, performance might come close to even a full fledged DSLR.

So yeah, go for it man! thumbup.gif

It's using 1st generation m43 sensor. Very old already.

For that money, there's much better buys... NEX.. entry Canon/Nikon dslr's.

The models that Kytz listed on the first page (or their replacement models) can consider best in class already. Frankly speaking, between one model to the next... there's no real substantial difference.

Mirrorless like Nikon1 v1, nex f3, lumix gf5 are good choices. But note that these 3 uses different sensors. nex f3 is using APS-C sensor like what you find on D5100. gf5 is a m4/3, and nikon 1 is using CX sensor which is the smallest among these 3.

They are great if you prefer to keep everything small and easy to carry but personally I prefer more buttons and knobs on the camera. Hence, a dSLR.

i saw the forum a lot ppl are interest to get nex6 over 5r. After check the both spec, seems the difference is just EVP that's all, but nex6 had to sacrifice touchscreen, is it really good?

nex f3 should be very similar to d5100 in terms of image quality and low light. mayyybe d5100 a bit better but not by much.

i'd go for nex6 as well due to the finder and better controls. i prefer buttons n knobs over touchscreen any day for a camera. but both are solid choices.
