Mirrorless like Nikon1 v1, nex f3, lumix gf5 are good choices. But note that these 3 uses different sensors. nex f3 is using APS-C sensor like what you find on D5100. gf5 is a m4/3, and nikon 1 is using CX sensor which is the smallest among these 3.is there any Mirrorless which able to combat this price?

They are great if you prefer to keep everything small and easy to carry but personally I prefer more buttons and knobs on the camera. Hence, a dSLR.
