All sifus mostly lepak at savoc . net

Try register an account at that forum and you can open a thread and ask around.

I'd suggest go for Manual if you don't want a hassle maintaining an AMT. I myself driving AMT (2006 production) and I admit it has few problems. I don't say it as a problematic car because it's just a wear and tear issue. On the other hand, MT version is almost problem free besides the power steering switch and ignition coil which can be replaced for less than RM500. Ignition coil China brand can get as low as RM230 with installation while the power steering switch issue can be fixed for less than RM400. The engine is very robust. Mine clocked 140,000km already and no single problem with the engine. Mind you that my driving style is quite rough. I do 170kmh quite frequently especially during long hour drives (KL-JB-KL in a day twice a week). The best thing about Savvy is the handling. If Myvi handling 3/10, I'd give Savvy 9.5/10. Try to climb Cameron Highland and you'll know what kind of fun you'll get with Savvy  brows.gif

Added on January 19, 2012, 3:29 pmAnother thing I want to add is most of Savvy owners know how to fix their cars just by DIY. So you don't have to rely on any mechanics. Even Renault specialist also don't have so much knowledge on how to fix Savvy.

Yo,Cameron Highlands huh?You my kind of driver....Imagine driving up there via Simpang Pulai(AMT)with right foot on the throttle & left foot controlling the brake(to add a bit more drama-the road was wet)-Fooooh!Champion lah this car codenamed Green Hornet(I think y'all can guess the colour already)

The drive(touge-ish)up Cameron's was spectacular. The Civic FD2 1.8,Perdana V6 & the sad excuse of a sporting compact car(Actually there were TWO-Myvi 1.3 & 1.5) were only a speck in the rear view mirror by the time we were halfway through.Starting at the bottom of the hill,i was dead last(hp/torque not as much as the other cars) yet by the time we reached Kg Raja(The Top) the Civic 1.8 was 8 secs+ behind,Perdana disappeared(Gearbox konk-I hope itu saja sad.gif ) & the Two Myvis which were so gung-ho at the start, started understeering so badly midway that it wasn't funny at all(I considered them as almost DNF).They were 2 minutes behind in 3rd & 4th.

Before going any further, everyone was going pedal to the metal in stock standard cars & no mods were done(what I assumed visually)because the two Myvi fellas were so adamant that I had a supercharger in my engine bay(they even claimed to have heard a whining sound coming from Green Hornet)when I stopped to wait for them after the finish line...Hahahaha...should have looked at their faces when they observed that even the air-filter was standard underneath the Savvy's hood.I love my Green Hornet!

Squeezing in a quickie,Federal Hi-way via Kerinchi Link to Hartamas.....Polo 1.2 TSi,young driver, cucuk me asking me to move aside(I was in the middle lane-with HUGE Buses on the left). What else?AMT dropped two gears & he only got past me once & that was on a straight piece of road.Corners? That overpriced crap had no chance.

"I would let a Polo GTi thru though"-Now THAT's a Driver's CAR which in capable hands can scare many a 2-Litre turbocharged machines.

Injector got sumbat anot? Petrol tank got water vapor anot? Fuel filter change ady anot? OBD scanner check petrol pump is fully functional anot? Last but not least, is the TDC sensor still functioning anot? If not you might as well change 1? Solder 10 times on a rosaked sensor will not revive it geh laugh.gif

Problem: 2007AMT, Put in "D"/"R", accelerate until 2.5k rpm only can move, dragging the engine during 1st gear. 2nd Gear onwards all ok but got hiccup when AMT change gear.

Diagnose: Clutch position off the chart. Usual is 40-60% when engine running, or 60-70% when engine off.

Mine was at 79% during idle, 95% during engine on.

The problem is the Clutch Sensor spoiled and cannot sense the clutch position therefore ECU and Robotic arm cannot detect and change gear properly.

Solutions: Change the Clutch Sensor

Mechanic: Kirol San

Price: 500 Timing Belt, 280 Clutch Sensor (2nd hand), 180 Power steering switch, 85 Oil change and filter.
