QUOTE(dares @ Aug 30 2013, 11:11 AM) Can't compare VW's TSI with Renault's old D4F. TSI is direct injection which also contribute to it's fuel efficiency and performance. You can't just plonk a turbo onto the D4F and expect similiar performance and FC as the Polo 1.2 TSI. Thanks dares |

QUOTE(acerB314 @ Aug 30 2013, 09:52 AM) your car savvy u installed super charger or turbo charger..? supercharger use pump up turbocharger use air flow. my friend drive polo 1.2 turbo charger. fast speed and save petrol. Supercharger/compressor use pulley to compress air into the intake system. Hence, as an when you kick start your engine, the intake system already start charging at certain cubic flow. It's very efficient and no turbo lag. Talking about FC, depends on how you tune the car, if running it slightly lean, then you'll get better FC but less mid/high end torque. If the tuner is smart enough to remap the fuel mapping to suite your driving, you may get even better FC than before modification. Back in the early millennium, our collaborate partner in Taiwan tuner supercharged a Mitshi Spacegear, the FC had greatly improved. Reason being now the power unit has more power to move the car, instead of keep hitting the gas pedal, now the auto tranny have enough torque to upshift and keep the RPM low. Turbo Charger uses exhaust to spool the charger, whilst the shaft driven the compressor housing to compress air. Problem is, the system needed enough exhaust to charge the turbine, so at low RPM you may not experience any power improvement, and it's call turbo lag. Good thing is, it's cheaper than supercharger. Flexible in terms of tuning. Every little minor changes on the setup will directly affect power output. For example an external waste gate allow you have cleaner boost control. By adjusting the boost control actuator, you can further charge the intake to higher pressure and you get more horse power. That ofcourse need to couple with extra fuel mapping and need to strengthen engine internal parts to ensure the engine can take such high pressure. Don't use a new car - stock turbo to compare with bolt on turbo. Having a bolt on turbo can mean spending so much to an extend of even more expansive than the POLO you mentioned. Depends on what do you really want. Just a normal boosting machine that keeps on Kachiii, it's relatively cheap. Make it low boost around 0.3bar, you're still very safe and able to enjoy the Kahiii |

Its time to change full set clutch kit. Please expected around plus minus RM600 damage in your pocket. QUOTE(pizzaboyj @ Jul 22 2013, 09:56 PM) 1. just replaced these 2 sensors...so no more jerking and gearbox indicator lamp blinking...but it cost me RM688 (speed sensor RM280 + magnetic sensor RM280 + scanner service RM50 + labour RM50 + coolant RM28). I did it at one of the continental car service at Kajang Impian. I hope that was a normal price... 2. also found that from car's manual booklet, there is no need to change auto tranmission fluid (ATF), only need to check and topup. is it true...? since there was discussion and advice here to use ELF Renaultmatic Oil rather than normal ATF...any comment...? |
