I went to Renautech last weekend. Got my Throttle Body cleaned, tdc cleaned and modified, flushed AMT hydraulic oil with Renaultmatic D3 (RM48). Total cost RM122.

Car feels nice. Almost zero jerk now.
*
Mind if I ask. Modified tdc? What they did to it?

Hurmm i did ask a couple of mechs as well but they say don't waste your time. After 10 year just overhaul. But from what i read somewhere it's better not too flush. If you want to flush make sure you use the right product. If the flush is not properly drain it might be a problem. You would not want it to evaporate and stuck in your engine afterall.

Myself the next run ill just pour in ceretec and use liqui moly semi oil. hehe i somehow like it effect.
*
Ceretec and liqui moly semi oil just pour in during normal service?

Recently, the ECU light AKA zig zag light came back again. Been going to Renautech for several times regarding this problem.
At 1st they claimed it is the accelerator sensor problem. Changed to new one but problem came back after few days. Send back to renautech, they gave the wrong accelerator sensor for my AMT.
Drove for about one week then problem came back again. Went back again, tested everything. From throttle body, the ECU "control plate"( I don't know the actual name). They said no problem, drove for about week then same problem again.
Sent back for the 3rd time, to test properly everything and got all the wiring checked as well. Took back the car and till last 3 days ago. The ECU light came back. Anyone could help me with this? Sorry for the long essay :3

Because it's not the accelerator sensor problem, so Mr.William willing to let me claim back my money.
Btw, would love to pay a visit to RS Auto. It's located at Puchong right? Anyone has Mr.Hoe's number?

0122365520 - Mr Hoe

though he charge slightly more expensive but at times he solve quite a number of my small problem. rattle sound in gear knob... squeaking sound on my bonet. even i wanted to change some stuff but he say find him when it really went that bad. lol i think his quite honest imo.
*
Mr.William from Renautech is a nice guy as well. Honest man. Btw, I called that number on Friday, couldn't be reach ~.~

i also got the same problem. the stupid proton service center (Mutiara Damansara)
gave me the following quote:

1. Speed Sensor RM193.22
2. Pedal Assy Brake RM92.77
3. Electro Pump RM2006.05
4. Cylinder clutch RM3095.73
5. Modulate Actuator RM9674.72
6. Clutch Kit RM692.08
7. Accumulator + Gasket RM1217.28

Total: RM16971.85

heard that RS Auto in Puchong is a good place to repair savvy. Anyone been there? what's yr review?
*
If your car couldn't be start. Just tow it to RS Auto in Puchong or Renautech in Subang(I personally go here)
They will definitely do a WAY better job than any proton SC.

that quotation is stupid and lazy, just replace everything?  and for that price then replace the whole car already, what are they thinking?

like as mentioned, have it towed to the renault specialists for the real fix, proton can only fix simple things with savvy like oil change nothing more.
*
Even changing oil I will do it at Renautech located at Subang. The boss there (William) is a very nice man. Recommended workshop for Proton Savvy biggrin.gif

i heard renau tech and RS auto in puchong got big price difference. RS auto charge cheaper. In your opinion, what's the quality of the
service? i don't mind paying a bit more for a better service and a peace of mind.

P.S: i tried calling RS auto but seems like they changed their office number. anyone has their latest number?
*
Never been to RS auto so I couldn't comment on the price. But Renautech charges is ok for me for their service.
I read from this forum and savoc.net that RS Auto is always pack with Proton Savvy everyday.
You can try the below number biggrin.gif
RS Auto, Mr Hoe - 012-2365520

thanks kennywee92, you've been very helpful. How much Renau Tech charge you for their services?
What services you acquired from them? mine's a major gearbox repair and i really hope it won't break my wallet.
*
I did normal service & previously my car have the error of the "injection light". The light with the zig-zag symbol you see at your car's speedometer. Got it fix last week & still testing if the light will come back. They charge a quite reasonable fees for labor. About rm30-60 depending on what is your service. For your case, they will diagnose your gearbox 1st before fixing it, just tell them your problem & they will help you for sure biggrin.gif

Any GPS coordinate for Renautech?  I've been to RS Auto, and I would certainly appreciate another option.
*
I will post up the GPS coordinate for Renautech when I'm home, currently at Uni. Btw, you could google for Renautech & there will is a webpage for the shop. I think you might get the GPS coordinate from there. It's located in Taman Perindustrian USJ. Near to USJ 1 biggrin.gif

thats if u buy a manual.. if buy another amt will kaput sooner or later.. wear and tear.. all 2005-2007 car are showing syntoms of problem now.. mine start with clutch replace, brake kit and engine mounting.. now temperature problem (hopefully just sensor)..

2005 - 2007 amt owner should change the brush of the pump now (mileage more then 100,000km).. dont wait til u cant engage gear.. cost you rm200+/-.. before u need to tow it to nearest shop that can repair that amt box which cost you the same for towing..

*its a small kinda advice.. 5 year long enough already for a car without problem.. start shedding money to repair and replace what possible problematic thing..

**the risk of buying 2nd car.. u need money for repair job.. thankfully i had that in mind already when purchasing my car..
*
Have you done your replacement of brush in the pump?

just to share

did timing belt change for my reg 2008 (07) savvy AMT at 65K  at Transformer autogarage Batu Caves gombak.  this is my savvy mech that i've been visiting after warranty finished. they dont have the diagnostic tool kit but i send the car for all the greasy pomen stuff and service. The owner/mech work for proton before and one of the pioneering staff that specializing on savvy during it launch plus their labor cost is cheap.. for system checking, diagnostic i send to RS auto.

cost
- Timing belt  & oil seal RM330 ( buy outside Bosch 100K )
- timing belt Labor charge RM150
- NGK Spark Plug - RM 55 ( bought outside )
- Air Filter - RM 8 ( bought 4 pcs at carrefour last year. found it in clearing stock )
- Oil Filter - Original Proton.
- Engine Oil - penzoil mineral 10w30 RM62
- Gear Oil - Shell RM forgot.. later i update
- Flush radiator and use proton original coolant RM i forgot..
- major service labor - RM 40
the timing belt, when the mech open it. its look physically good. this is due to the car only travel around 10KM per day and not move in weekend and holidays.

Any other renault workshop to recommend other than Renault Tech n RS auto? These 2 workshops r always too packed n the bosses never bother to answer calls.

Try going on weekday. Renautech will serve you as I always go there. Who did you called?

QUOTE(jtdc @ Jun 5 2012, 10:56 AM)
i can only suggest to visit either on a weekday (not weekend) morning as in 9AM (10AM already late) so you'd get accommodated.  or that does not work anymore?
*
Go in the morning and ask for it or call to make appointment biggrin.gif

It's more like changing the compressor filter. it leaks the air cond gas out and needed changing. anyways for anyone that's interested, i've just taken back my Savvy from Renau Tech in USJ. They changed a new accumulator for me which cost RM1500. The guy in charge, William gave a good service to me. 1 week settle everything.
*
William really provide good service right? Ahak. Btw, I'm going to Renautech tomorrow for service biggrin.gif
