my office still not OK. Huawei Modem Link and Auth LED all Stable Green.

UPDATE: OK Already. Should have been OK earlier same time as wongck but yesterday when troubleshoot, I changed the connection from CISCO Linksys(Internet Port) to LAN2 on Huawei. When changed to LAN1 on Huawei now OK already. Got to do with their VLAN settings. Internet can only use LAN1 Port on Huawei.

Yes bro..u can only use Port 1 as Port 2 is a Internet reserved port. Port 3 & 4 are for Astro.

my advice:

1. get a good dealer who will be there for you when things screw up (just in case)
2. do your own checking first by speaking to your Building Management if there is any Time Trunking already done. Find out where is the riser and how does it arrive at your unit.
3. get ready at your own end by providing a nice place for them to install including moving furniture, getting an extension cord + 2 sockets minimum, vacuum cleaner for the drillings etc
4. get the appointment time down and the installer's name, hp no. and company. confirm with them 1 day before.
5. allocate more than enough time for further testing on speed (boost!), signal strength etc. (i moved my E1200 like 3 metres and got extra 1 bar of signal)
enjoy!

Time is really good

on unifi 10mbps, torrents go as fast as 1.1MB/s
on time 8mbps, torrents go as fast as 880KB/s

which is really good.. but they have boost 30 hours free (monthly renewed?)  to 50mbps

expect crazy speeds...

Glad everything is ok now smile.gif

Thanks for the reply, looks like no issues for streaming/downloading. But from KL's feedback sounds like connection breakdown happens quite frequently, is that similar in penang? Don't want to get a fast line but no-connection frequently.
*
Hi Bro..the previous downtime in KL was due to some disaster... Penang so far so good... only place like Times Square wil have some minor probs due to cable issues.

*
Definitely wil go....but temp only for high rise buildings....for some really potential business areas, FTTO service can be requested...subject to approval.

Whats the point of having this speed with that rediculous quota. Sure it's cheap, but it's pointless, I have no idea what these guys are doing, you can't even ride this package for penetration. Very strange business decision.

are you talking about the 100Mbps package? they clearly put the quota in the info, and if there is not a market for that segment, they won't do it. it is a purely business decision, if the market is not there, they wont do it. i am not a time subscriber, i am using unifi, but i can understand why they provide the package, and i think the pricing is okay.

if you want a true unlimited package, just go for their unlimited package that goes up to 50Mbps nod.gif , which is very fast as compared to unifi

Hello,
I called a Time agent to ask for the prices and confirm the ones on the website.
She confirmed there is a RM249 setup fee for a 12 month contract.
Has anyone managed to get this fee waived?
I'm on a one year rental and will likely move once it ends.

Thank you

Hi Bro, she's right, RM249 is definitely chargeable for 12-Months contract.

The Phone No is starting from 04-xxxxxxx , NOT 01x . The no will be generated by system to you, cannot choose no smile.gif

We had some roadshows last 2 months at Times Square, Citibank building, BHL, Gurney Tower...
I'm sure more will come & remember to drop by & say Hi smile.gif

Yes it's clearly stated there. My point is why bother with a high bandwith package with a low quota and a low price, without offering a price for both high bandwith and a higher useage quota. It's a stupid business decision.

not everyone wants fast internet for downloading
some ppl just have big family that multiple device wants to connect to the net.
user A watching HD you tube, user B playing games, user C checking and updating facebook, user D wants to upload photos of recent holiday trip to flickr and user E checking emails.
can do all these without bogging down each other.
and all these wont break the 100GB quota.

they have la, contact their sales team. you can arrange for a corporate/enterprise package. the thing is, for most home users, unlimited quota at 50 mbps is fast enough. maybe down the line when there are better competition out there, time will provide higher bandwith for home users brows.gif
