Hi guys,

Is anyone experiencing broadband outage in kl?

I just called time cs. It seems whole kl is down. sad.gif
*
While i was on my way back home, I got a call from the agent who sign me up with Time fiber. He gave me a call around 6pm just now, asking if the internet was fine at my home.

When i reach home and turn on the modem + router, to my surpise, router is "dead" and the modem LOS signal is not blinking.

So i have two problems:
1) Linksys router dead, cannot access 192.168.0.1 with cable (all lights on router are on, and not blinking)
2) No LOS light, means no internet

Hey guys, I am using the 8M package.
I realised that the speed is not 50Mb whenever I activate the boost.

Therefore, I tried to connect to network directly from the Huawei modem (without the Linksys wireless router). Surprisingly I can get 50Mbps.

If I connect via the wireless router, I can only get aroud 15Mbps.

Can anyone advice on this issue? Thank you.

Hi Bro,

You need to use a cable to connect directly from the Cisco E1000 router to your computer to test, don't depend on wireless signal.

Hi Bro,

PLease check it out with TIME CS whether your condo is still affected by the last week disaster, which caused many buildings in KL down.

PON light shld be constantly on, LOS light shld b off.

Cisco Linksys default IP is 192.168.1.1 unless u changed it.

192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 both also dead. Because ipconfig shows no address given from the router. the router confirm is dead. CS confirm the hardware faulty and engineer is coming today for exchange and further investigation too.

Yes, they replace my E1200. and 2 other place too (which is also cisco router faulty).

Guess what, as of last night, i discover the cisco router given to me is also faulty doh.gif . This new router given to me, will crash every 3-4 hours. It will still broad cast wifi signal after 3th hours, but cannot connect. at 4th hour, it will crash and no wifi signal, even my PC that connect via Lan also has no IP at all.

I know this is not TIME's fault, but instead, Linksys's fault. They are coming today again to replace the router rclxub.gif

Well done Cisco, are you trying to kill your brand?

Hi Bro,

As far as I have tested, E1200, E1500 also not really reliable. E1500 also facing similiar problem like you just couldn't connect to Internet & it always says Cannot get IP from PPPOE.

E1000 is fine but obsolete d, E2000 also OK.

US sites should not have problem, bro try turn off yr ONU & Router & on it back, then try again, monitor it for a few days, if problem stil persists, giv TIME a call to complain.

Today is my 7th day since it was installed. and i already have 4 Time service form with me.

Form 1) installation.
Form 2) No internet, LOS is blinking. (cable snap at splitter room, some other contractor snap my cable)
Form 3) Router problem (totally dead)
Form 4) Router problem (ok for 3 hours. then it will crash)

But, their service is good and engineer is also skilled and polite. If they say they come, they really come. Much better than unifi and YES.

ps: What YES say to do, 99% they never do doh.gif

Bro, this problem cannot be solved by turning off & on back the ONU.

PON light gotta b ON & LOS light OFF in order to work.

Pls call TIME CS to check on their side (they are able to monitor your line status & reading from their end), if their side is fine, then request them to send over a technician (Installer) to check immediately ! LOL...

wow

then the Time CS has rained a solid chunk of BS on me last night asking me to switch off - then switch on the ONU and Modem.

Apparently it is problem with some Rx power too low for optical sensitivity.

They did mention that the Line status is fine and said they work 24 hours so expect a solution quickly.. let's see how quickly

Time has been leading me up and down and around bushes since day one, utterly dissatisfied...

Update 1: after emails to Time and calls to Time, they said that someone will call me to check for any issues. Hopefully, any issues can be immediately resolved. no snapped cables or anything.

Yes, doing installation for the rest of the wiring

the wireman looks like a jungle man with sloppy shirt and bad upkeep. like a homeless man. i always thought that fibre optics are a sensitive and modern technology that requires some basic technical knowledge. so he just threw (yes, threw) the step ladder into the riser room filled with 1,001 wires and snapped my FO cable

i already arranged but if you may, see if that installer is free on saturday morning tongue.gif

no lar, i curi snap the repairman's fibre optic laser pen which looks so geng smile.gif

Time head of CS already replied my email.. hazel or something

saying sorry for this and that but then again, action speaks louder than words

so far, Time is NATO
