There aren't any rumors on new ROG so far. Most likely it will either be a GPU refresh or Official announcement for Naked-Eye 3D.

so preinstall is 0 gb ram, they give you 2 sticks of ram?

Preinstall 4gb

lol then should be quite easy to install, since you don't need to install the one hidden away

to install ram for g53

hotkey for screen brightness is Fn + F5/F6 you need the ATK package installed

guys, i think my G53SX got real prob here. the screen seems faulty, not that there's no display at all but the color is somehow weird



what do you guys think it is? faulty GPU or loose cable or anything? my laptop is only a couple months old
damn, im outstation right now. cant bring the laptop to service centre
anyway, where's the Asus service centre in KL?

i don't see any problem with the screenshot. Have you tried connecting to an external monitor? Can describe a little more, the colour abit weird how? use your phone take a photo?

Sry, i used print screen just now, edited ady. I dont have external monitor right now. From what i can see, black color turns into green. But still can play games like dead island, BF3 tho

its not colour scheme, your screenshot and your monitor different colour completely. When u run games, colour also haywire? Need send for servicing gua.

@xxxcriminal. Your backlight cannot turn on? drivers all installed? try pressing Fn + F4 also no use? your buttons there also no light? (power button there)

fn+f3 n fn+f4 no function........if others can,like,fn+f10,sound can mute, n it show on screen.....
but click fn+f3 n f4, nothing show on screen....
if click the upper left shortcut key, can c the on or off light on screen, but keyboard light cannot function...

erm, i think dun open your keyboard yet. try installing the Asus ATK package, cause it might just be he driver problem. Cause if your keyboard light the setting is off, you press the button at the top right corner to turn on/off backlight it will have no effect. You use Fn + F11 got the volume image?
