i wasnt really active in posting or replying in this thread but ive been following this G-Series thread since V3
and now im proud to be one of the owner of G53SX!!
got mine last week, but didnt have time go to this thread
anyway, here's some pics






this thing is HUGE!! but im loving it!!

hye guys, i tried to add another 4GB RAM into my laptop but seems like it cant detect it
ive tried to take it out n put it back but still d same. n i noticed that after clipping d RAM, its still a bit loose. haieshhh

guys, i think my G53SX got real prob here. the screen seems faulty, not that there's no display at all but the color is somehow weird



what do you guys think it is? faulty GPU or loose cable or anything? my laptop is only a couple months old
damn, im outstation right now. cant bring the laptop to service centre
anyway, where's the Asus service centre in KL?

Sry, i used print screen just now, edited ady. I dont have external monitor right now. From what i can see, black color turns into green. But still can play games like dead island, BF3 tho

As expected, its hardware prob. But im wishing its just a loose cable. But wait for 3 weeks? Damn, i cannot wait that long. Only have 2 weeks holiday leave *sigh*

hope KL service centre is okay, but i only back to KL in March
plan to sell mine after RMA

my G53SX screen is completely dead now. when turn on, can hear it log into windows but no display at all. even connect to external monitor oso no display
im still 1.5month away before go back to KL
btw, i heard that Asus service centre is now in Lowyat Plaza? is it true? i saw they officially launched last dec in their FB

hopefully the service also nicer
thinking of selling my G53SX after RMA, i love it but im quite dissapointed when things like this happen after only 2 months

i think its GPU, coz connect to external monitor oso no display..

i dont think so, i always check my GPU temp during gaming, it never exceed 85°C and im playing in a full AC room
im not a heavy gamer anyway, just play <4 hours a day
and the display didnt suddenly go dead, its starts with some weird colour for a few weeks before it completely dead

err..im not sure bout rainbow but d black colour turns into green, white into pink/yellowish
sometimes its okay, then suddenly it comes again
then the screen goes totally blank
