ian913: G53SX non 3D - Logitech G300

I think I read something like this before. What causes it is the magnetic sensor on the screen which tells the computer when the lid is closed or open...

If I'm not mistaken.. What you will wanna do is, use a small, mild-strength magnet, and rub it at the spot to the right of your touchpad where it would touch the lid when it is close.

Here is where you should do it



Rub on it with magnet for around 20-30 seconds while power is off and everything unplugged.. Do at own risk and goodluck   

P.S: If this doesn't solve it, then the culprit is not the magnetic sensor

17' is ok d...since i like big screen too...just the quosimo design....i personally....
more prefer driving F-117~
but the quosimo spec is awesome wif 4k...

A cloth with one sided wet and another dry. That's what i did. I more worry on the top cover. Will try alcohol some other time.

i have a 1366x768 g53sx... and ive tested the full hd g53sx at my local store...

the icons on ur desktop look smaller..  but reading some words off the web browser is abit uncomfortable for me, cuz the words look veryvery small...

imo, if u do alot of reading and ms word editing and all that off the full hd g53sx, it 'might' annoy u abit... but if u use it mostly for gaming and wacthing videos, u shud be fine

the other thing ive noticed is that the 3d g53sx looks abit more brighter compared to the full hd one

i suggest u open a thread in notebookreview forum (asus gaming section) .. hopefully ull get ur fix there

things were fine when u first got it am i right?? then u go reformat, then things started to go south???

Dear all, i bought my g53sx few days ago. THen today i try to use the webcam.... but unable to on it >.<

The lifeframe software keep come out with " the camera is used by another program "

I try reinstall and google around but can't settle it. Any kind souls encounter such issue before? >.<

Ya fn+v is the lifeframe.... when i press it, it showed the camera is used by other program...

I tried skype and facebook video call, they also can't detect the webcam...
A question to ask, did you all see your webcam in device manager list? For my laptop i can't see it there....

Sry, i used print screen just now, edited ady. I dont have external monitor right now. From what i can see, black color turns into green. But still can play games like dead island, BF3 tho

Logitech, just go by price from there. the one you can afford the most hahhaha.
