Then your area probably not in 3G area... hmm.gif

How about your friends? Any of them using DiGi and at the same area as yours?
Do they have the phone connected to 3G?
If no, put your SIM card into your friend's phone which supports 3G.

If none of your friends is able to connect to 3G in the same area as yours and using DiGi - Tower issue
If your SIM card can detect 3G in your friend's phone - Phone/SIM card issue (unlikely)

3G = UMTS
3.5G = HSDPA and now most of them have upgraded to HSPA

Either way, you should see a H for a normal smartphone and 3G for BlackBerry. BlackBerry will only show 3G and not H or 3.5G.

1) I am still using Digi Prepaid Plus. Do you still remember what is the call rate and sms rate? Need these info to compare with Digi Best Prepaid (to be able to use Super Long Life) but cant find it anymore.

2) For Digi Best Prepaid, the first 15 FnF numbers are confirmed free? http://www.digi.com.my/prepaid/services_fnf.do

3) For Digi Best Prepaid, what is the sms rate to non-Digi non-FnF number?http://www.digi.com.my/prepaid/plan_hit1.do

4) For Digi Best Prepaid, what is the call rate to non-Digi non-FnF number before hitting RM1?http://www.digi.com.my/prepaid/plan_hit1.do

Pretty confusing.

Best

2) Yes, the first set of FnF numbers are free to add - 11 DiGi and 4 non-DiGi line

3, 4) Basic sms rate is 10 sens (this also applies to non-DiGi FnF numbers) and basic call rate is 36 sens/min (30-second charging block)

Prepaid Plus

I'm really not sure the rates now. This plan used to have horrendous outstation rates up to RM2.40/min, but that may have been reduced now to the Beyond Rate of RM1.20/min [or even less?].

One good point on this plan was the smaller charging block, which may make short (10-20 seconds) local calls cheaper than under the latest plans.

Overall, it's worth changing to Best without any doubts.

Yes, you can add internet package to your subline....RM30 + RM48 i think....IMO, not worth it. Might as well subscribe to MAXIS RM50 with voice/sms and 250MB data....of course, if RM250MB data not enuff (sufficient for moderate social updates and light surfing once a while). I think MAXIS subline for RM30 also includes 250MB data!!!

Who knows what DiGi are up to these days, apart from getting further and further behind all other telcos

DiGi Best sim also not sold in DiGi Online shop

DiGi seem to have pushed Easy plan to new users as it is more profitable (no FnF numbers, no 12 sens calls, no Reload Bonus, most other promotions also denied)

It is about time DiGi had something new and more competitively priced, especially for prepaid data options where they only seem interested in postpaid customers
